Made a few key saves throughout before his flap allowed Norwich to equalize.
A great goal early on that won the match for his team. His pace and willingness to attack down the right was something Norwich struggled with all game.
Streamed forward to great effect in the first half and was as defensively sound as usual.
Found Grant Holt a large handful and was unusually unsettled all afternoon.
Was unsettled by Norwich’s pairing up top and didn’t look his usually robust self.
Cut in off the line well and put in a strong shift, though would have perhaps liked to have had a greater effect after being recalled to the first team.
Another relatively quiet game by his standards and was swamped out in the middle of the park.
J. Obi Mikel
Sat deep through the game, which bypassed him for large chunks. When on the ball he kept it simple, which definitely helped Chelsea produce momentum.
Looked comfortable at right forward, but not conventional. His surging run which won Chelsea the penalty was the game's decisive moment
Produced little but his presence was a constant menace that gave Norwich a few problems at the back before he was stretchered off with a nasty looking injury.
Once again ineffectual. Certain to be a casualty of the starting lineup soon.
Was red carded and cost his side dearly after what was a decent performance up until that point.
Attacked well down the left flank with pace and vigor. Had a few problems defensively, though.
Was a bit too reluctant too push forward considering that when he did, he did with great impact.
Put in some crucial challenges at times and was big and strong at the back, exactly what was needed against Drogba.
Was withdrawn halfway through the first half as Lambert sought to change his tactics.
R. De Laet
Coped OK with Chelsea's movement up top but at times looked a bit too slow off the mark.
Was largely anonymous though when on the ball, probed as much as possible.
A bustling performance that saw him dominate Lampard and Mikel at times. Tried a few from range to no avail.
When he was on the pitch he pulled all the strings, at times sending Chelsea's back four all over the place.
Worked well in tandem with Holt and was unlucky not to have got on the score sheet after a couple decent efforts.
A great performance up front and looked every inch suited to Premier League football.
- 22 R. Turnbull
- 33 Alex
- 19 Paulo Ferreira
Was quiet after coming on but took his finish with class and a steady head.
- 20 J. McEachran
Had little time to really impact the game.
Looked neat and tidy after coming on late but the game was effectively decided by Lampard's penalty as soon as he entered the fray.
Replaced Ruddy late on but had no chance with Lampard's penalty or Mata's late strike. Not the best of situations to be brought into for the youngster.
- 2 R. Martin
Brought on halfway through the first half with the aim of revitalizing Norwich's attack, which he did in parts, but not enough.
- 15 D. Fox
- 17 E. Bennett
Looked sluggish when through on goal during decisive moments in the match.
