But City can't do it! Chelsea is comfortably in control during injury time and as Mark Clattenburg blows the final whistle, City's unbeaten streak has come to an end! Manchester United is now just two points behind its archrival. Could this be the turning point in the EPL title race?

GOAL CHELSEA! The substitute Frank Lampard does exactly what his coach brought him on for, drilling home the penalty and setting Chelsea on course for a vital three points.
  • 82'
Penalty to Chelsea! Sturridge receives the ball at the top right corner of the area and Lescott raised his hands as Sturridge shot, a straightforward decision.
  • 80'
Drogba with some nice work down the right as he finds Ramires, but the Brazilian's toe poke is too soft to seriously threaten Joe Hart.
  • 78'
    Yellow Card Didier Drogba
  • 78'
After initially threatening following Clichy's sending off, Chelsea has struggled to get its attack on the same page, but with Frank Lampard on the field, Andre Villas-Boas will be hoping the club talisman can help propel the team to three points.
  • 75'
    SubstitutionDavid Silva Nigel De Jong
Nigel de Jong comes on for David Silva, an indication that Roberto Mancini could be happy with the draw.
  • 74'
    Yellow Card Ramires
  • 73'
    SubstitutionRaúl Meireles Frank Lampard
  • 70'
Chelsea has largely dominated since the sending off, but now City is in the midst of a neat passing move as it patiently looks for the quick strike.
  • 64'
    SubstitutionSergio Agüero Kolo Toure
  • 64'
    Yellow Card Oriol Romeu
  • 63'
Chelsea is ratcheting up the pressure now, as Meireles sets up Ramires, who is very well positioned at the edge of the area and fires at goal, only to see his effort blocked.
  • 62'
Roberto Mancini could have a selection headache at left back ahead of his team's clash with Arsenal, with Clichy now suspended and Aleksandar Kolarov injured.
  • 59'
Drogba's free kick sails over, but it's advantage Chelsea now, as it will play the last 30 minutes a man up and have a golden chance to get a crucial win. City could very well settle for a point now.
  • 58'
    Yellow/Red Gael Clichy
Gael Clichy is sent off! The Frenchman receives his second yellow card as he trips Ramires, who was bursting forward, with an ill-advised challenge that sets up a free kick just outside the area.
  • 53'
Sparkling play from Mata as he blows past Yaya Toure on the left and cuts inside, before he's fouled by Vincent Kompany, who's already been booked. However, it was a fairly innocuous challenge, and the Belgian does not have to worry about a second yellow.
  • 49'
Daniel Sturridge and Raul Meireles have carried their lively play into the second half, as they have continued to run at the City defense and cause problems in the attacking area.
  • 47'
    Yellow Card Gael Clichy
  • 47'
It's an early chance for the home team as Mata swings a free kick into the area that bounces and finds Sturridge, who fires just over the bar. Slack defending from Manchester City.
  • 46'
    The second half is underway!
  • That's the half! Raul Meireles canceled out Mario Balotelli's early strike, and there is plenty to play for in the final 45 minutes. Chelsea has controlled possession, but City has been effective with the ball, slicing through the Chelsea defense on more than one occasion.
  • The players are making their way back onto the pitch. We are finely poised as the second half is set to get under way, and we should be in for an entertaining 45 minutes of soccer.
  • 45'
City has an opportunity on the stroke of halftime as Balotelli feeds Aguero, but the Argentine can't get his shot on target. Both sides have had their moments in the half, but the finishing has been disappointing, save for the two goals.
  • 41'
    Yellow Card Vincent Kompany
  • 39'
The game has become a lot more even as the first half enters the closing stages. City has put together some nice passing moves, but Chelsea looks to have picked up its play significantly, and there is great anticipation in the stands.
  • 36'
    Yellow Card Raúl Meireles
  • 35'
The goal is huge for Chelsea, which was struggling through much of the first half, but now looks to have a renewed belief about it.
  • 34'
    Assist Daniel Sturridge
  • 34'
    Goal Raúl Meireles
GOAL CHELSEA! There's the equalizer and it's Raul Meireles! Sturridge made the goal, driving down the right and sending in a cross for the Portuguese midfielder, who justifies his starting place by slamming home his first Chelsea goal.
  • 28'
City's pressing has generally been good, as it has forced Chelsea to be rather hurried in its play. It could be a potential calamity for the Blues as Drogba pulled up with a leg injury after hurrying a shot from outside the area.
  • 25'
Didier Drogba looks to inspire his side with a moment of magic as he picks up the ball on the left edge of the area and finds space to shoot with some slick footwork, but Hart denies him by saving at the near post.
  • 24'
While Chelsea has the possession, City has been much more incisive and keen to punish mistakes, as exemplified with Bosingwa's giveaway that nearly resulted in a chance for James Milner.
  • 18'
The stats sheet shows Chelsea has had 60% of the ball, a strong case for the notion that possession isn't everything, as City has been by far the superior side in the first part of the half.
  • 14'
Penalty claims for City as Balotelli sets up Silva, who is clattered from behind by Ramires and goes down. However, his exaggeration of the fall might have hurt his case.
  • 11'
Chelsea's spell of pressure is over just as quickly as it begins as a giveaway from Ashley Cole results in a break for Aguero, who beats Bosingwa, but can't get his shot on target under pressure from Oriol Romeu.
  • 10'
Chelsea looking slightly better now as they stroke the ball around in the City half. A deflected shot from Raul Meireles goes behind for a corner.
  • 8'
Chelsea has been reeling from the early goal, as it looks disjointed in attack. Balotelli nearly turns provider for Aguero, but this time the Chelsea defense is quick enough to react. Minutes later, a sloppy pass out of the back nearly leads to another Aguero chance, as Chelsea will need to improve vastly to get anything out of this match.
  • 2'
    Assist Sergio Agüero
  • 2'
    Goal Mario Balotelli
GOAL FOR CITY! It's a lightning start for the visitors at the Bridge as Aguero turns his defender and slips the ball through for Balotelli, who punishes a flat Chelsea defense as he rounds Petr Cech and rolls the ball into the back of the net.

For the visitors, Roberto Mancini has opted to start Sergio Aguero in front of the trio of James Milner, Mario Balotelli and David Silva.
