The 'keeper had a rather average game. Could not do anything about the Kadlec free-kick but should not have let Castro's header between his legs.
Rather unlucky to give the free-kick away which lead to Leverkusen's opener. His marking was poor on several occasions but he did score one of the goals of the season.
He did fairly well to keep Sam quiet but failed to provide an efficient attacking threat which Gladbach could have done with at times.
Not a great game for the young Norwegian who was playing out of position at right-back. Castro caused him problems all afternoon with his pace and movement.
Quiet game from the wideman who struggled to influence the game and get past the Leverkusen backline.
Not his greatest game but he didn't do too bad. Nearly opened the scoring with a superb half-volley which cannoned off the bar and was involved in most of Gladbach's attacking play.
The young midfielder was one of his side's more impressive performers this afternoon. He was all action in the centre of midfield and took the game to Rolfes and co.
The winger looked lively throughout and was full of running even if the end product was not always there.
Good movement from the big man who is still feeling his way into his new team. His finishing could have been better but not a bad performance.

The Belgian international supported Hanke well when he was on the pitch and his passing was in particular very good.
Helpless to stop Stranzl's wondergoal. The German international made a number of good saves and looked particularly solid on crosses where his punches consistently cleared his lines.
Looked assured in defence and scored a sublime free-kick to give Leverkusen the lead at an important time in the game. More goals like this please.
Solid game for the right-back who is growing into one of the most consistent performers in the Bundesliga. Defended well against the lively Reus and got forward when possible.
The veteran was committed throughout but his lack of pace was shown up at times, especially by the spritely Idrissou.
The Chilean provided two very good assists and was effective in his midfield role. Continues his excellent partnership with Rolfes in midfield which continues to keep Ballack on the bench.
Terrific performance from the defender who played on the wing today. Both goals were taken very well and he was a constant nuisance to the Gladbach defence.
The captain had a solid game in the middle. He passed well and helped to control the tempo in Leverkusen's favour.
Disappointing game for the pacey winger who has been one of Leverkusen's stand out performers this season. The young German struggled to get into the game.
Fairly decent performance from the young defender. Made a shaky start to the game but grew in composure as the game went on.
Very quiet game for the striker whio struggled to get into the game. The goalscorer has looked off colour all season and needs a decent run in the team to get back to full fitness.

Linked up well with Hanke when he came into the game and nearly scored late on when his header cannoned back off the bar.

The talismanic midfielder entered the game too late to make a real impact but did have a decent effort on goal.
The midfielder came on for the final minute and did not touch the ball.
- 31 N. Jørgensen
Held the ball up well when he came into the game but did not have any opportunities to score as Gladbach searched for a way back into the game.
