Full time! Bolton 1-2 Wigan. Martinez' men take all three points at the Reebok Stadium but fail to climb out of the bottom of the table with Blackburn also winning on the day. Coyle has a rough week ahead of him after his unmotivated side's ninth loss at home. Great results for the Latics and a deserved one as well!

    Yellow CardGretar Steinsson
  • 90' + 3'
Bolton build up patiently to earn their final chance but Tuncay's shot is deflected. Martinez pleads for the final whistle and Webb complies!

  • 90' + 1'
We're in the first minute of three added. Moses wins a corner for Wigan who are naturally in no hurry here. The Latics are on the cusp of their third away win this season unless Bolton have something to say about it. They only have a minute to say it.
  • 89'
Klasnic provides for Steinsson now for Bolton and it's back to the former but his shot errs wide and over!
  • 88'
Coyle's men make a meal of it at the back and Rodallega is virtually through on goal! He tries to do too much and it gets caught under his feet. Wigan counterstrike quickly but Di Santo fires straight at Bogdan.
  • 87'
Bolton threaten again but Ngog's touch is too thick. Di Santo hustles again in an enterprising performance but Bolton have it back.
  • 85'
After some Wigan time-wasting, Ngog sends in the ever-present Miyaichi but Al-Habsi has saved brilliantly! The former Arsenal youth sends in a corner but the Latics again clear.
  • 81'
Miyaichi and Tuncay combine well for Bolton but it's not enough this time. Again the Japanese youngster is involved but Klasnic can't convert his cross atop the Wigan box. Bolton are hustling to loose balls but still don't quite look like a relegation-zoned team trailing late at home to another!
  • 79'
Latics lead 2-1 at the Reebok, but have they retaken the lead too soon? Bolton have time to come back but have lacked passion mostly throughout. Ten mikes left in this Lancashire derby...

Wigan take the lead again! Knight heads backwards in his own half, allowing Moses to control well, drive forward, and force a save from Bogdan who can only deflect into McArthur! He slots it home and the traveling Latic fans are in dreamland.

  • 74'
Rodallega comes in for Martinez. Injury and transfer scuttlebutt has dogged his performances this year but they're both behind him for now. Could be an impact substitute. A quarter of an hour left here...
  • 71'
Bolton finally in the ascendency. Miyaichi useful on the left again and Wanderers win a corner. The tide has shifted completely since the improbable strike by the hitherto desperate home side.

    GoalMark Davies
From under a long spell of Wigan possession, and straight from a Bogdan drop-kick, Bolton have equalised! Mark Davies fires a half-volley from outside the box utterly against the run of play. Football is a funny game! The goalie's punt deflected off the back of Ngog and Davies made absolutely no bones about it with the classy strike.
  • 65'
Klasnic on for Davies. Another enterprising if not mildly confusing choice from the Bolton gaffer. Wigan again beset the Bolton net to no avail.
  • 64'
    Yellow CardJames McCarthy
  • 63'
    SubstitutionKevin Davies Ivan Klasnic
  • 63'
Miyaichi has injected some trickery into the stagnant home team but they've not linked more than a few passes together since early in the first half
  • 61'
Moses steams down the right side for Wigan and finds McCarthur but it's excellently saved from Bogdan. Bolton are lucky not to be down two at home to the league's bottom-dwellers! Testing times at the Reebok!

    Yellow CardKevin Davies
  • 56'
Wigan are camped inside Bolton's final third. However, their offense is only enough to find the byline, their crosses insufficient in creating real chances. Captain Davies has clattering in and finds a yellow card with his name on it, presumably in an attempt to inspire his sleepwalking side.
  • 54'
I believe it was Miyaichi there who almost conceded a penalty to Boyce in the box but Webb weighs it off. It looks like Coyle will bring on Tuncay imminently.
  • 50'
Again Wigan appear the better of the two sides as they exchange possession in the opening stages of the frame.
  • 47'
Coyle has brought in former Arsenal midfielder Ryo Miyaichi. The 19-year-old scored a cracker last week in a closed door match against Preston, I heard. Hopefully he livens up his side's attack -- my first look at the young Japanese.
  • 46'
    SubstitutionMartin Petrov Ryo Miyaichi
  • 46'
We're back and we're hyped for a hopefully scrappy and passionate second half, particularly from the home side who lacked fervor in the first frame.
  • And it's half-time at the Reebok. The league's bottom side Wigan lead their hosts Bolton 1-0 thanks to a towering header from captain Gary Caldwell. Coyle's men started the match the better side but increasingly gave up possession in midfield until the Latics' deserved goal. Back in 15 minutes to determine who wants to stay in the Premier League more this season!
  • 45'
    Yellow CardNigel Reo-Coker
  • 44'
The Wigan captain scored with sheer desire there, a quality lacking across Bolton's backline on the occasion. Should be enough for the lead entering the tunnel...
  • 43'
    AssistJean Beausejour
  • 43'
    GoalGary Caldwell
First blood to Wigan! The visitor's score from a corner when Caldwell rises higher than the much taller Wheater to head into the Bolton net. 1-0 to the away side in this Lancashire derby!
  • 41'
Good defense by Rickets thwarts another Wigan attack. Di Santo is lively again, dropping his shoulder and firing from range, but Bogdan gets down quickly to concede the corner.
  • 36'
Latics' fans have let off smoke bombs. Bolton stewards respond with hoses; Wanderers fans respond by cheering.
  • 34'
Wigan are pressuring nicely over the past ten minutes. Martinez's men haven't won since December but have 80% of possession over the last five minutes here.
  • 32'
It's not been flowing stuff from either side so far here at the Reebok. It's not for a want of desire, though. Each team is driving sloppily at the other. Wigan beset the Bolton net again with deflected and ranged shots and a ricochet off Knight's face yields a corner for the visitors.
  • 30'
Wigan fail to quantify their advantage in possession over the last five minutes. Bolton prepare a long-throw into Davies but it's cut out and ultimately squandered by the counterattacking Latics.
  • 26'
    Yellow CardFranco Di Santo
  • 26'
You don't see this very often, but Di Santo was just booked for infringing on a Bogdan punt. The Argentine stuck a leg out as the Bolton keeper set up at drop kick and referee Webb stuck to the letter of the law.
  • 22'
Bolton are enjoying more possession but the Latics seem more dangerous with their own, so far
  • 20'
The crowd at the Reebok "oooooh" at a nifty, curled Di Santos effort that they thankfully see go over the crossbar instead of under it
  • 18'
Di Santo springs Wigan forward but second-string Bolton keeper Bogdan nicks it out from under Moses.
  • 16'
Zak Knight fires one in and Bolton win a corner. However, sparkplug Reo-Coker volleys over the bar with an egregious miskick. Better from the normally inconsistent home side, so far...
  • 10'
I'm a little late to the party, so I'll skip most of the pleasantries. I can report that indeed ten minutes have gone, and we're still nil-nil, which isn't shocking. Wigan's McCarthy down with a knock at the moment.
  • Wigan boss Roberto Martinez makes just one change from the side that drew with Everton as Antolin Alcaraz returns in place of Ronnie Stam who drops to the bench. New signing Jean Beausejour starts again for the Latics who I expect to line up in a 4-4-1-1 formation, Franco Di Santo is the man chosen by Martinez to lead the line in this crucial game with Hugo Rodallega having to be satisfied with a place on the subs bench.
  • Bolton make two changes to the side that were beaten by Norwich as Tyrone Mears and Fabrice Muamba drop out of the starting line-up to be replaced by Gretar Steinsson and Kevin Davies. It will be the Bolton captains first start in the Premier League since mid-December and he will be looking to impress boss Owen Coyle after a reported move to Sunderland during the transfer window failed to materialise. None of the three players Bolton brought in during January start and only on-loan Arsenal youngster Ryo Miyaichi is involved in the squad as a substitute. American defender Tim Ream is not fit enough to be considered yet and Marvin Sordell is dropped from the squad after coming on as a substitute last weekend.
  • Sorry for the delay! Should be a cracking weekend of relegation drama, beginning directly with Bolton hosting Wigan!
