Dealt well with the danger that came his way, including a blistering strike from Benzema early and a sublime stop from Ronaldo moments before the equalizer. Loses credit for a mix-up with Boateng.
Made some great blocks, but they only covered the mistakes he previously made. Let Benzema get away from him far too often, and put his side under unneeded pressure.
Took some risks in pressing into the attack, and was punished with a booking. However, he was rewarded at the death as his low cross assisted the winner.
Was one of Bayern's best performers in the first half, but loses credit for being beaten by Benzema ahead of the equalizer.
Booked for an ill-advised challenge on Di Maria, but it was abundantly clear why he and not Boateng is first-choice in the German national team. Never a one-on-one defender, but chased down the ball when needed, and limited Benzema's chances.
Had a tremendous economy: played all the right passes on the counter-attack, and helped at all depths of the pitch.
Decidedly the second outlet in attack for Bayern, the Dutchman missed out on his chance to exploit a very unimpressive Coentrao. Summed up his team's performance before the winner.
Played well in the first half as he kept Ozil in check and provided a stable platform for Kroos going forward. Still lacks fitness, though, and was replaced after an hour.
Justified his inclusion from the start as his industry proved an asset. Was an understated player in possession, but did did his defensive work well.
The most consistently dangerous player on the pitch over the 90 minutes. Took his goal extremely well, and his trickery several times unlocked the visitors' defense.
Showed great industry and tracked back to win the ball, but missed several chances. Saved face perhaps at the death as he scored his 40th goal of the season.
Had little chance to save either goal, and was not often tested. Made a great save early, and was quick off his line to deny Gomez as he claimed possession ahead of the striker.
Far better than his partner, Sergio Ramos, who took responsibility for the majority of the central defensive work on the ground. Kept a cool head.
Let the ball fall to Ribery for the opener, and four times needlessly conceded chances to Gomez. Lost his focus in the key moments.
Caught out of position too many times: he didn't exactly make life easy for Ramos, who often had to run out of position to the left flank. Needed Marcelo's introduction as a second defensive presence on the left, and even then he could not cope. Went to ground, inviting Lahm to cross for the winner.
Had his share of trouble with Ribery, but there were some far clearer deficiencies in the Real defense.
Won the ball well, and never tried to do more than he could. His physicality was a big boost to the Real Madrid midfield. Became less influential later in the match, when his team needed him most.
Á. Di María
His balance and dribbling won some free kicks, but the Argentine was a bit of a headless chicken in attack. And critically, he left Ribery all alone for the opener.
Played some brilliant long-ranged passes out of the back, but was guilty of some loose touches. Could not dominate the flow of play as he almost always does.
Played one fantastic ball to Benzema early, but was often too quick to defer responsibility when he could have taken it on himself. But in one instance, he pushed, and was rewarded with the equalizer.
Struck one decent attempt over the bar in the first half, but was an intermittent threat from free play. Ultimately made his stamp on the game - albeit with great fortune as he missed a sitter moments before - as he tracked down Benzema's ball and assisted Ozil's equaliser
Was only an occasional threat in the first half, but improved after the break. Deserves all the credit for creating Ozil's equalizer.
- 13 Adán
- 18 Albiol
- 19 R. Varane
Replaced Ozil for the final quarter of the game. Extremely fortunate not to be sent off for a disgraceful challenge.
- 8 Kaká
Came on for the last stages as a substitute. A relatively quiet few minutes for the defensive midfielder.
Came on for Benzema for the final stage of the match, but had neither the time nor service required to make a difference.
