Had very little to do in this game, and had only two difficult moments - in the third minute, when he intervened well and right before the final whistle, when he literally saved the draw for his team with a fine save.
The center half looked lost for most of the game. Inadequate defending allowed Deportivo its best chance in the first period, and he was not much better after the break as he let Xisco race past him to nearly score the winner.
An unconvincing performance at center back. Unwilling to close down opponents as often as he should, and poorly positioned most of the time.
Very good game from the Frenchman, who did well on both sides of the pitch. Linked up well with Keita and Afellay upfront.
J. dos Santos
Caught out of position on a few occasions, but did very well in attack. Linked up well with Jeffren on the flank and showed some neat touches.
The former PSV man played on the left wing, and had a somewhat disappointing match. Drifted in and out of the game, and aside from a couple of good shots, offered very little in the final third.
Superb defensively, and always at the right place, at the right time. His passing was decent as well, which was pleasant surprise.
Good performance from the former Sevilla man, who did very well to bulldoze Deportivo's tame midfield duo. Distribute the ball well.
Excellent distribution from the midfielder, who pulled the strings for the Catalans in the center of the pitch. Retained possession very well, and made a few timely tackles.
Had one very good run in the 33rd minute, which almost let to the opener in a very impressive first half. Showed nice dribbling and a lot of pace.
Put in a lot of effort, running in open spaces, and trying to draw defenders. Did not have many shots on goal, but impressed with his overall play.
Pulled off some very good saves to deny Barcelona in the first half, and superbly blocked a Daniel Alves free kick after the break. Commanding presence at set pieces.
The center half had a decent game, and aside from a few minor mistakes, did not really do anything disastrous. Should have closed down his opponents more often, and struggled for pace at times.
The imposing defender had a very good game and impressed with his tackling and positioning. Made a few vital interceptions to keep Barcelona at bay.
Did very well defensively, tackling hard and marking well. Had a fine shot at goal, and distributed the ball decently.
Did very well in defensive sense in the second half, despite facing Jeffren and Dos Santos on the flank.
Had his fair share of troubles with Jeffren and Dos Santos as his lack of pace was exposed on numerous occasions in the first half. His team defended very deep in the second period, and his performance improved dramatically.
He was forced to defend deeply, and could not make an impact upfront, despite some good passes. Showed good work rate.
The veteran showed occasional glimpses of his class with some great passes, but really struggled with his shooting. Replaced in the second period.
The striker had one good chance early in the game, and he failed to put it away. Isolated for obvious reasons, and was substituted after the break.
Tried to make things work upfront, but was starved of service. His intelligent runs gave Barcelona's makeshift defense plenty to think about.
- 13 Manu
- 33 Seoane
- 22 Juan Rodríguez
The Mexican star was introduced in the second half, and created Deportivo's best chance of the game right before the final whistle with a delightful pass. Impressed with his dribbling, flicks and confidence. He will be the first to leave the team, if Depor is relegated.
- 12 Saúl
The former Newcastle man missed the best chance of the game in injury time as his hesitancy to shoot cost his team.
Failed to put away the rebound after Xisco had his finish blocked at the death, and will be disappointed with the miss.
