Had one of his quieter evenings against an attack restricted to chasing the ball but took a nasty blow to the head as Sagbo slid in on a low cross. Vitally, he clung onto the ball though. Was called into action by Livermore but held his powerful drive.
Can still be a bit static when players have a run at him but by and large won his challenges and helped Arsenal to a clean sheet.
Had a couple of chances from a corner but did most of his best work at the other end. Comfortably dealt with Graham throughout.
Came in for Sagna and was strong for the most part. Tends to provide a good outlet on the right and bent a lovely cross into the six-yard box for the opener.
Started in place of Gibbs and did very well. Contained Sagbo for the most part and got forward superbly. His final ball was a bit lacking but he played an important role in the second goal.
The star man tonight, utterly irrepressible and came away with a fine goal and another excellent performance. Whether it was driving at the Hull defense or sliding balls in behind to the various runners, he was a driving influence behind the result.
While Ozil was the primary creative force, he was the go to dictator in the middle. He touched the ball more than anyone else, was unlucky to score from range and slid a splendid pass through for the second goal. He's playing with supreme confidence now. Replaced in the final 10 by Arteta.
Floated about midfield as usual and kept Arsenal moving. Didn't massively threaten the Hull goal but passed well. Came off for Wilshere with 15 to play.
A fine player who combines impressively with Ozil. The Spaniard took a heavy early challenge but grew into the game and was unlucky not to score, having a rebound just taken off his toe when it looked like he'd score. Perhaps overshadowed by Ozil's arrival, but he's still a joy to watch.
Anchored the midfield expertly. The Frenchman was more than happy to help protect his two center backs and watch the midfield four cause carnage and credit to him for his discipline.
Opened the scoring within two minutes with a firm header from close range. Had two great chances to add to his tally but a heavy touch on a rebound saw the first slide wide, while Brady's goal line clearance prevented the second. Linked play adequately enough. Replaced by Walcott.
The Scot had no chance with Bendtner's opener from close range but almost handed the Gunners a second with a couple of poor parries. Still, he showed his class by tipping Ramsey's long-range effort behind and made a number of important stops in the second half - notably from the Welshman. Was left helpless by Ozil's smart finish.
Loves a tackle and almost broke Cazorla in the first half. Otherwise did his best to repel waves of Arsenal attacks but was often overloaded.
The middle of the three center backs and did what he could to keep Bendtner quiet. Still, looked troubled when he had to follow runners into midfield.
Powered one header wide in the first half and otherwise had the unenviable task of dealing with an in-form Cazorla. Did what he could but certainly didn't shine on the second goal.
Ahmed El Mohamady
Had Monreal preventing him piling forward and Cazorla to worry about defensively so was often pegged back in his own half.
Played off the left and had fleeting moments where he could drive at Jenkinson. Made little impression though but did make an important clearance off the line at 2-0 down. Replaced by Rosenior.
The engine in midfield. Did a hell of a lot of running but also got forward when he could. Final ball was lacking but he did test Szczesny with a fierce drive from 20 yards.
A classy operator when he has time, but he had five of the busiest Arsenal bees around him and looked flustered. Still his composure on the ball ensured Hull knocked it about nicely. Played a high-quality cross at 1-0 that should have been tapped in.
Not Meyler's best game in midfield. Tried to get forward and support the strikers but was ponderous in possession and consequently found himself chasing the ball a lot of the time.
Played to the right of the forwards and did trouble Monreal at times and does possess a good cross. Plenty of hard graft but no major moments of quality.
A thankless evening for the striker. Took a couple of knocks and rarely had the ball in the final third. Replaced by Boyd with 30 to go.
