A brace from Marcos Pizzelli was enough to lead Armenia past the Canadian national team.Kevin McKenna gave Canada an early lead but the national team couldn't hold on as Marcos Pizzelli's brace and a late penalty condemned the North Americans to a 3-1 loss in their first match since November.
McKenna opened the scoring just five minutes in when he slipped free on a corner and put Julian de Guzman's delivery home.
The Canadians held that lead until the 23rd minute when Pizzelli slotted a shot home from just outside the box to level the score.
The match stayed level until the second half when Pizzelli struck again, putting home a rebound after a shot came back off the post and fell kindly for him.
Canada failed to offer much threat going forward and in injury time the match was put to bed when Aras Ozbiliz scored from the spot after a Mike Klukowski foul.
