  • RSL hasn't conceded to Seattle all year. Salt Lake won one game 1-0 and posted three other scoreless draws against the Sounders in 2012.
  • Nick Rimando made five saves to earn his clean sheet in the first leg. Additionally, a collision with Christian Tiffert cut his face and broke his nose. "It will have to go down as one of the single best individual performances by anyone who's ever worn an RSL jersey," Jason Kreis said.
  • Seattle has failed to score in four of the last six games against MLS teams. The Sounders have only scored in one of the seven playoff games in club history, a 2-0 win over RSL last year.
  • Fredy Montero has yet to score a playoff goal in his career.
