  • But arguably the most heart-warming moment of the game was seeing the way in which Gomez, his team-mates and his nation's fans celebrated that penalty at the death. Terrific stuff and a fine image for us to bow out on. Thanks for watching. Good night and good luck from
  • And there's full-time. Well, that was exhibition stuff from Spain at times. Andres Iniesta, who was replaced at half-time, was majestic, while Jesus Navas was irrepressible in the second period. There was also a double for Pedro, another goal for record goalscorer David Villa, a belter of a free from Sergio Ramos and a debut goal for Susaeta. All in all, a fine night's work from the Spanish.
  • 90'
Panama now looking for a second, but Spain are in no mood to concede again.
  • 87'
    Penalty Goal G. Gómez
  • 87'
GOOOOOOOALLLLL!!!!! Panama parties! Barahona is barged over in the area by Fabregas, presenting Gomez with the chance to net against the finest international side the game has ever seen. He takes it with aplomb, chipping the ball into the top corner. Classy finish. No wonder he's celebrating like he's just scored the winner in a World Cup final.
  • 84'
    Assist Jesús Navas González
  • 84'
    Goal Susaeta
  • 84'
DEBUT GOAL FOR SUSAETA!!!! Navas turns on the afterburners again down the right wing before pulling the ball back for the debutant to tap home his first international goal in his first international appearance.
  • 82'
    Goal Sergio Ramos
  • 82'
PICK THAT ONE OUT!!!! Sergio Ramos makes amends for that earlier miss by bending the ball into the top corner. That's a free kick his Real Madrid team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo would have been proud of. Top drawer from the defender.
  • 81'
    Yellow Card F. Baloy
  • 80'
Busquets utterly bamboozles Baloy on the edge of the area, resulting in a yellow card for the Panama defender and a free kick in a promising position for Spain ...
  • 79'
    Yellow Card N. Barahona
  • 79'
And another chance for Spain, as Susaeta tees up Benat, who sees his well-struck drive saved by Penedo.
  • 77'
    SubstitutionC. Rodríguez Rolando Algandona
  • 77'
HOW IS IT NOT 4-0?!!! Fabregas opens up the Panama defence and Navas tees up Susaeta, but he fails to convert with the goal at his mercy.
  • 74'
Ramos ventures forward for a set piece and is left holding his head in disappointment after squandering the type of header that the defender would normally bury.
  • 73'
    SubstitutionDavid Villa Susaeta
  • 72'
    SubstitutionJean Cedeño R. Dixon
  • 71'
Terrific play from Navas, who absolutely burns Dasent on the outside, but Villa is unable to get his toe on the Sevilla man's ball across the six-yard box.
  • 68'
Soldado floats a lovely ball to the back stick, where Navas is waiting. The winger tries to tee it up for Villa, but the ball is deflected right back to Navas, who hits a snapshot which crashes off the base of the post.
  • 65'
It's that man Soldado again, the Valencia man firing an effort just wide of the Panama goal. He's getting closer, folks.
  • 63'
Spain have a corner and it's worked back to Albiol, who tries his luck from distance with predictably unsuccessful results.
  • 60'
    SubstitutionJordi Alba Sergio Ramos
  • 60'
    SubstitutionVíctor Valdés Iker Casillas
  • 60'
Much better from Panama, who launch a fine attack down the right-hand side which Escobar and Rodriguez played prominent roles in, but Spain ultimately concede nothing other than a corner. Both sides ringing the changes now, the most notable of which sees Iker Casillas take over from Victor Valdes in the Spanish goal.

    SubstitutionB. Pérez N. Barahona
  • 58'
    SubstitutionR. Escobar Quintero
  • 57'
Soldado looks determined and destined to score a goal, and has just been denied by another fine stop from Penedo.
  • 55'
Renteria's been lively enough since being introduced in place of Torres, and Panama are showing plenty of industry in the middle of the park. But there's still a painful lack of precision.
  • 53'
    SubstitutionJ. Pérez A. Cooper
  • 52'
Good work from Soldado in the area and the Valencia hitman finds Villa, whose snap shot is well saved by Penedo.
  • 49'
Jesus Navas tries his luck after cutting into the box from the right wing but Penedo manages to deal with a well-struck effort, tipping it around the post.
  • 47'
The good news for Panama is that Iniesta has been hauled, along with Mata, who also impressed during that first half!

And we're back underway in what has been more exhibition than friendly thus far.
  • And that's half-time. Panama have proven game going forward but they've just not been able to cope with Spain - and one man in particular - from a defensive perspective. Andres Iniesta has led the hosts on a merry dance, creating goals for Pedro and Villa, before Pedro struck again just before the interval. This one's over; it's just a case of how many, really. Join us again in 15 for the second half.
  • 45'
Spain threaten a fourth, with Mata leading the charge forward once more, but Panama stand firm.
  • 43'
    Assist Juan Mata
  • 43'
    Goal Pedro
WHAT DID I SAY?!! Spain make it 3-0 just a couple of minutes before the interval - and in some style. Mata picks up possession in midfield before dissecting the Panama defence with a wonderfully-weighted through-ball which Pedro. The winger feigns to pass to the supporting Villa only to let the ball run through his leg, thus leaving Penedo on his back side and allowing Pedro to pass the ball into an empty net. Terrific goal.
  • 42'
Villa finds some space in the area but his attempted backheel to Pedro doesn't come off. Still, wouldn't put it past Spain wrapping this one up before the break ...
  • 39'
It has to be said, Panama are pretty tidy on the ball - when they get it - but there's no incision.
  • 36'
Juanfran is released down the right wing and stands the ball up at the far post, but Baloy is on hand to head clear.
  • 33'
Panama looking to get themselves back into this one through Torres, but he's eventually crowded out - not the first time that's happened - and Spain reclaim the ball and the initiative.
  • 30'
    Assist Iniesta
  • 30'
    Goal David Villa
GOALLLLLLLLLLLL! MORE MAGIC FROM INIESTA!!! The Barcelona man jinks past no less than four player before putting the ball on a plate for club-mate Villa, who sidefoots the ball high into the Panama net. What a player Iniesta is; just ridiculously good.
  • 28'
Spain continuing to press and probe, but the hosts holding firm well enough.
  • 25'
Gabriel Torres tries his luck with a spectacular effort from the inside right channel. A lot of power behind it bit not much direction. It doesn't bother Valdes in the Spain goal.
  • 23'
Chance for Spain with a free kick from 25 yards. Juan Mata steps up but the Chelsea man's attempt clears the Panama wall and the Panama crossbar. Wasted opportunity.
  • 21'
Jean Carlos Cedeno is the next Panama player to commit a foul. The Central American side are breaking up the play here and there with petty tackles. It is interrupting the flow of Spain's play so perhaps its a smart tactic.
  • 18'
Panama are showing a little bit of indiscipline at the moment. Juan Perez committed a very silly free kick on Pedro inside the Spain half when the Barcelona man was going nowhere. They'll need to buck up their ideas slightly.
  • 16'
    Assist Iniesta
  • 16'
    Goal Pedro
GOOOOOOAAAAAL FOR SPAIN!!! Iniesta shows some fantastic skill on the edge of the area to set up Pedro who slots home from just outside the six-yard-box! It was coming! 1-0 Spain!
  • 13'
Benat has made a very competent start to the match. He set up Villa for that shot on the edge of the box and has generally looked bright. The Real Betis man has been in inspired form for his club this season. He earns his second cap this evening.

David Villa!! The Spain captain tries his luck on the edge of the area with a powerful shot but it goes just by the post! Del Bosque's side are getting closer to opening their account here.
  • 9'
Blas Perez makes a dash out of his own half but Raul Albiol brings him down with a cyincal foul on the halfway line. Panama should get a little respite from the Spain onslaught for a few moments.
  • 7'
First corner kick of the match comes for Spain. Andres Iniesta whips it in from the left-hand side but Panama manage to scramble clear. All Spain in the first few minutes as expected.
  • 5'
Busquets picks up the ball deep in his own half and aims to spread the ball to the wider areas. A lot of Spain's play in the opening stages has went down the left with Jordi Alba and Juan Mata. Lets see how they do.
  • 3'
Spain typically begin the match with short passing along the back four. Blas Perez looked to get in behind the opposition defence but he timed his run a little quickly and was called as offside. He could be a threat for Panama tonight.
