These sides return to Champions League Group E action on Wednesday November 7 when Nordsjaelland travel to Turin in the reverse fixture. Can Kasper Hjulmand's side upset the odds again? Until next time, good night!
That result means that Juventus have now drawn all three of their opening Champions League fixtures and their last nine in European competitions, a new European record.
Statistics show that Juventus attempted 30 efforts on the Nordsjaelland goal but with only one goal to show for it, credit is due to Jesper Hansen and a resilient defence. A series of fantastic saves, blocks, headers and crucial interceptions were pivotal to their performance.
Kasper Hjulmand will ultimately be the happier of the coaches and the Biaconeri now face an uphill task in qualifying from Group E where Shakhtar Donetsk defeated Chelsea 2-1.
FULL TIME: NORDSJAELLAND 1 - 1 JUVENTUS! A remarkable first Champions League point for the Danish side after they took the lead from a sublime freekick from Mikkel Beckmann. Juventus were knocking on the door all game long and the equaliser came nine minutes from time from substitute Mirko Vucinic's well-executed volley. All square in Parken.
90' + 3'
The ball is pumped long into the Nordsjaelland box but straight into the hands of Hansen. That should do it...
90' + 2'
Jores Okore has put in a solid display at centre-back and once again produces a crucial tackle to deny Emanuele Giaccherini.
90' + 1'
All hands to the pump now for Nordsjaelland and they deal magnificently with the aerial threat of Vucinic and Bendtner to run down the clock.
There will be THREE minutes of stoppage time!
You can feel the tension here as Juventus continue to bombard the Nordsjaelland box. Mirko Vucinic is proving to be a real handful and he nearly doubles his tally but his bobbling effort is deflected behind for a corner.
Kasper Hjulmand makes a final change as Anders Christiansen replaces Kasper Lorentzen. Can the Danish side hold on for a famous victory?
And nick it they nearly did as Nicklas Bendtner connects superbly with De Ceglie's left-wing cross, only to see it agonisingly flash wide of the post. Four minutes remaining.
Final roll of the dice for the Old Lady as Emanuele Giaccherini replaces Arturo Vidal. Can Juventus nick the three points at the death?
Yellow Card Patrick Mtiliga
Patrick Mtiliga, who refused to play for Denmark against Italy last week, is cautioned for a late challenge on Isla.
Assist M. Isla
Goal Mirko Vučinić
JUVENTUS EQUALISE! And it's the Montenegrin substitute Mirko Vucinic who has scored it, getting in front of his marker to volley Isla's cross past Hansen. Nothing he could do about that one. Are we set for a late winner?
Juventus come within inches of levelling after a smart one-two between Bendtner and Isla forces Hansen into a difficult save. The pressure is building...
Nordsjaelland have been camped in their own half for the last five minutes or so but they force a corner when Christensen's shot takes a slight deflection wide.
Juventus substitution as on-loan Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner gets a brilliant reception from the home crowd when he replaces Brazilian defender Lucio. Not sure they will be singing his name if he scores the equaliser mind.
Marchisio looks to make ammends with a long-range piledriver but Hansen gets across his goal quickly to make the save.
Nightmare for Marchisio! The Italy international finds himself played through but his touch lets him down and the danger is cleared. Who can be Juventus' saviour?
Goal-hero Mikkel Beckmann has also been replaced by Morten Nordstrand and Soren Christensen enters the fray in place of Andreas Laudrup as the Danish side look to hold onto their vital one-goal lead.
Andrea Pirlo comes close to levelling the scores when his swerving free-kick eludes the wall but is fingertipped behind by Hansen. Great save!
Yellow Card Ivan Runje
Ivan Runje picks up a booking for a crunching late challenge on Vidal, which leaves the Chilean midfielder writhing in agony on the turf.
Change for the Italian side as Mirko Vucinic replaces Alessandro Matri. Can he ignite this Juventus outfit?
Juventus come within inches of equalising! Andrea Pirlo finds Vidal on the edge of the box and his fierce shot takes a wicked deflection which bounces narrowly wide past the scrambling Hansen. Under 25 minutes to play here.
Alessandro Matri hasn't found his shooting boots just yet as he blasts a left-footed effort wildly over the bar from close range.
You have to admire the spirit in this Nordsjaelland side. They refuse to sit back and continue to push forward for a second goal. Andreas Laudrup is proving a tireless workhorse up front with Beckmann and John in support.
The Nordsjaelland wall continues to stand firm. This time Parkhurst is on hand to prevent Marchisio's stinging drive.
Lots of you calling for the introduction of Mirko Vucinic and Nicklas Bendtner. I think Alessio may have to assess his attacking options in the next few minutes.
Nearly a second for Nordsjaelland! Nikolai Stokholm's right-wing cross finds the onrushing Joshua John in the box, but the Dutch forward, on loan from FC Twente, steers his header over the crossbar.
Juventus are getting closer! Pirlo strokes the ball out wide to De Ceglie whose cross is met by the forehead of Giovinco, forcing Hansen into a world-class save. Quite brilliant from the 27-year-old shotstopper.
Fantastic defending from the hosts! They are really up for this game and Ivan Runje produces a wonderful block to prevent Isla smashing home Marchisio's cutback. What a game we have on our hands.
Juventus attack down the other end once again with Pirlo picking out Isla on the back post. However, the Chilean miscues his shot and Nordsjaelland breathe a sigh of relief.
Mikkel Beckmann causes problems down the left-hand wing and pulls the ball back to the edge of the box, but to his avail there is no red shirt.
Juventus can't quite believe what has happened and they look to restore parity through Alessandro Matri but his shot is fantastically blocked by Runje.
Goal Mikkel Beckmann
GOALL NORDSJAELLAND!! And the underdogs are in front from an absolute peach of a freekick from Mikkel Beckmann. After Chiellini picked up a yellow card for obstructing Andreas Laudrup, Beckmann curled a freekick over the wall and into the top corner. Buffon got a hand to it but there was no stopping that one. Game on! First Champions League goal for the Danish side.
Yellow Card Giorgio Chiellini
Juventus find space down the left again and Giovinco unleashes a venomous drive which is punched clear by Hansen. Lightning start from the away side as they chip away for the breakthrough.
Early warning signs for Nordsjaelland. Paolo De Ceglie's inviting low cross is desperately turned behind by Okore before Hansen pulls off a smart reflex save to deny Matri.
The players are returning to the pitch for the second half. Can the Bianconeri find a way past the Wild Tigers?
Elsewhere in Group E, Shakhtar Donetsk lead European Champions, Chelsea 1-0 at the Donbass Arena courtesy of Alex Teixeira's third-minute strike.
Juventus have certainly looked the more likely to break the deadlock with Giovinco in particular proving to be a nuisance for the Nordsjaelland defence. I expect Kasper Hjulmand will be asking for more of the same from his troops in the second half. Will Angelo Alessio look for inspiration on the Juventus bench? Get involved and let me know your thoughts on Twitter @MaxBentley1.
Half-time at Parken! The sides go in level at the break after a pulsating first-half encounter which somehow has not fashioned an opening goal.
Anxious moments in the Nordsjaelland penalty box as Hansen finds himself clutching thin air from a corner. However, the referee, somewhat leniently adjudges that he was fouled by Giorgio Chiellini.
Only a few minutes left until half-time. Can Kasper Hjulmand's side cling on? Juventus continue to pile on the pressure and it takes a wonderful interception from a combination of Runje and Mtiliga to deflect Marchisio's effort behind for a corner.
Giovinco is starting to cause the Nordsjaelland defence problems and he twists one way then the next, before sending a rasping effort at goal. His shot is fumbled by Hansen and diverted behind for a corner with Matri waiting to pounce.
Juventus continue to push forward in search of an opener before the break and they nearly get it when Giovinco sends a cross to the backpost where Arturo Vidal meets it, but sees his effort loop gratefully into the gloves of Hansen.
Yellow Card Claudio Marchisio
Leonardo Bonucci attempts a header and an overhead kick from a corner but is denied by a resilient Nordsjaelland defence. The Danish side launch a counter-attack with Andreas Laudrup, who produces a wonderful piece of skill to nutmeg Claudio Marchisio who consequently hauls him to the ground. Yellow card!
Wonderful interception by Ivan Runje! The Croatian defender flinging himself to prevent Isla's teasing cross from reaching Matri in the middle. Nordsjaelland just manage to clear their lines from the resulting corner.
Fantastic end-to-end football here! It is Nordsjaelland's turn to attack as John looks to get in behind the Juventus backline again, but is denied by a fabulous block from Buffon. I sense a goal is coming...
Golden opportunity for Giovinco! The pacey forward is sent clean through by De Ceglie and rounds the goalkeeper, only to be denied by the side-netting from an acute angle.
So nearly 1-0 for Nordsjaelland. Joshua John gets in behind Bonucci and tries to lift the ball over the advancing goalkeeper. However, Buffon spreads himself well and saves the danger. The Nordsjaelland players complain that he handled it outside the box but it certainly struck the player's midriff.
The Danish side proving themselves worthy opponents so far and Okore goes close to opening the scoring, but his header glances wide of Buffon's goal from a corner.
Nordsjaelland are happy to play their way out of trouble but they get caught out this time and are nearly made to pay as Giovinco's volley is well saved by Jesper Hansen.
Kasper Hjulmand's side have really settled into their rhythm after that early Juventus flurry. Can they snatch an opener?
The ball is laid square to Laudrup but his effort strikes the Juventus wall. The Old Lady break at pace and Giovinco plays in Matri who is bundled to the floor by Patrick Mtiliga. The Juve striker wants a penalty but the referee is having none of it. Heart-in-mouth moment for Nordsjaelland there.
Andreas Laudrup shows a neat jink inside to draw a foul from Bonucci just outside the Juventus box. Good free-kick opportunity here for the hosts.
Good chance for Juventus! Andrea Pirlo's corner is whipped in from the right and Leonardo Bonucci gets above Jores Okore but can only nod wide from close range.
Juventus respond with a decent opening of their own as Sebastian Giovinco does well to play in Mauricio Isla down the right-hand side, but the Chilean international's cross is wastefully overhit, to the anguish of the unmarked Matri in the middle.
But just as I say that, the Danish side have their first shot on goal...Mikkel Beckmann unleashing a swerving effort from the edge of the box which Buffon, somewhat unconvincingly parries.
Nordsjaelland enjoy a rare spell of possession but they are still to test Gianluigi Buffon.
Clever play from Michael Parkhurst. The right-back bundles his way to the byline to win a corner for the hosts. However, there is a foul from the resulting set-piece and Juventus break down the other end once more.
Crucial interception from Okore! Sebastian Giovinco breaks the offside trap to latch on to Claudio Marchisio's glorious first-time pass but the Ivorian-born Danish defender gets back to save his team from falling behind early on.
Nordsjaelland need to be careful here. They are giving Pirlo too much space and he is beginning to pull the strings in midfield.
Alessandro Matri is ready to pull the trigger after latching on to Pirlo's clever lofted pass but is denied by the linesman's flag. Looked marginally onside in my opinion.
Nordsjaelland are having to endure an early Juventus storm at the moment. First, Andrea Pirlo fires his effort high and wide before Arturo Vidal sends a long-range piledriver over the crossbar.
Juventus are enjoying plenty of possession in the early stages and it requires a vital header from Jores Okore to prevent Alessandro Matri from being played through one-on-one.
Stand-in first team coach Angelo Alessio will be pleased with the start his side have made and they go close to taking the lead as Paolo De Ceglie's shot drags just wide of the far post. Early warning signs for Nordsjaelland.
Positive start from the hosts but it is the Italians who threaten first as Sebastian Giovinco is marginally offisde from Andrea Pirlo's cute through ball.
We are underway at Parken Stadium!
Yes, for those of you who were wondering, that is Danish legend Michael Laudrup's son playing for Nordsjaelland tonight. Let's see if the 21-year-old has some of his father's footballing genes, shall we!
JUVENTUS (3-5-2): Buffon; Lucio, Bonucci, Chiellini; Isla, Vidal, Pirlo, Marchisio, De Ceglie; Matri, Giovinco.
NORDSJAELLAND (4-2-3-1): Hansen; Parkhurst, Okore, Runje, Mtiliga; Adu, Stokholm; Beckmann, Lorentzen, John; Laudrup.
On with the lineups then...
The Danish side have not enjoyed the greatest start to their Champions League debut campaign, losing their opening games 2-0 and 4-0 against Shakhtar Donetsk and Chelsea respectively. They currently sit in 3rd place in the Danish Superliga but they face another stern test tonight as Serie A table-toppers Juventus come to town. The Italian giants are currently on a 47-match unbeaten streak in the league and drew their opening two matches. Can Kasper Hjulmand's side pull off a shock upset tonight?
The famous Parken Stadium is, of course, not Nordsjaelland's usual home stadium but it has a larger capacity than Farum Park, which can only hold 10,100 spectators.
Europe's greatest club competition is back as both Nordsjaelland and Juventus search for their first Uefa Champions League victory in Group E tonight. Both sides enjoyed convincing victories at the weekend and go into this game knowing that only three points will suffice if they are to keep their European dream alive. I'm Max Bentley and I'll be keeping you up-to-date with all the action from Nordsjaelland's Champions League home, Parken Stadium.
