  Raided forward sensibly but dangerously from his role on the left of the Porto rearguard. Caused Van der Wiel incredible headaches and forced the right back to be replaced. A very strong showing from the full back, though at crucial times his final ball let him down.

  Posed PSG problems with his intelligent movement and was ready to shoot on sight. Denied by a terrific Sirigu save with nearly half an hour played and flashed a fine volley just wide early in the second period. Got his reward late on with a world-class finish.

  Made a brilliant start to the game, creating havoc in the PSG rearguard. Although he would not quite maintain these heights, he was an immense threat throughout and the visitors never looked comfortable coping with him.

  Left himself in a difficult situation early on when he was booked for a foul on Varela and for the first time in a PSG shirt he did not look entirely comfortable. At key moments, his positioning was superb, however.

  Is by no means PSG’s first-choice right back and would not have impressed Carlo Ancelotti on this outing. Many of Porto’s best attacks came down his flank, and the Dutchman seemed to have few ideas how to stem the flow. Withdrawn after a poor hour.

  Uncharacteristically gave the ball away in the early moments of the game to present a terrific chance to Moutinho. This set the tone for a difficult game for the teenager, whose naivety at this level was exposed for the first time.
