Monterrey 5-0 Chorrillo: Back-to-back CCL champion opens with thrashing
Star midfielder Angel Reyna scored a hat trick as the defending champ steamrolled to a 5-0 victory over its Panamanian opposition.

Monterrey is off to a flying start in its latest CONCACAF Champions League defense, routing Chorrillo FC by a score of 5-0 at the Estadio Tecnologico.
Argentinian defender Jose Maria Basanta got the scoring started for the back-to-back confederation champ after just seven minutes.
Despite the early goal, La Fiebre Amarilla stood their ground and made it hard on the Mexican Apertura 2011 champ for the rest of the early going.
In first half injury time, Angel Reyna slammed home the first of his three goals to make it 2-0 right before the break.
Reyna would then score his second goal after 78 minutes and widen the gap. Abraham Carreño added to the Monterrey total five minutes later.
In the 88th minute, Reyna would cap off his impressive night with his third goal of the match and Monterrey's fifth.
