Chicago Fire 0-1 Aston Villa: Premier League side takes tepid friendly
Brad Guzan kept a clean sheet on his return to Chicago, with Aston Villa beating the Fire thanks to an Abonlahor header.

Aston Villa won a second consecutive match by a 1-0 scoreline on its U.S. preseason tour, this time dispatching the Chicago Fire. Earlier the Premier League club had beaten the Philadelphia Union in Paul Lambert's first game as coach.
In the first half Gabriel Agbonlahor powered a header home for the opening goal after muscling aside Arne Friedrich.
In perhaps the only lasting storyline from a sluggish friendly marked by copious amounts of substitutions, the goalscorer was stretchered off midway through the second half with an apparent knee problem.
Late in the second half U.S. international goalkeeper Brad Guzan was given a cursory run-out in his hometown of Chicago. The game took place in Bridgeview, Ill.'s Toyota Park.
