- Following this match, Liverpool will face Roma at Fenway Park in Boston on July 25, then on July 28 it will face Tottenham at M & T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.
- TFC won't have the services of Designated Player Danny Koevermans, who has a torn ACL in his left knee, and is out for the season.
- This won’t be the first time Liverpool has played at Rogers Centre. In 2004, in Rafael Benitez’s third game in charge of Liverpool, the Reds took on Porto in the then-named SkyDome, losing the match 1-0
