Should have got a stronger hand to Dyer's cross for the opening goal but was hardly tested otherwise.
Kept things tidy at the back and managed to grab himself a rare goal, heading in to get his side level.
Spent most of the day chasing Cisse around the pitch, but kept the Frenchman from providing any real threat despite his pace.
Supported Ashley Young well but saw the winger often waste what he saw of the ball.
Got forward as well as ever and frustrated Taarabt for the most part.
Still looks short of his best but kept things ticking over and scored an excellent header to put United ahead.
Typified United's wastefulness and his withdrawal changed the game for the hosts.
Rarely lost the ball but was rightly removed as Sir Alex Ferguson looked to add energy in the middle.
Showed some nice touches but did not seem to be receiving the ball in the right positions for his qualities to make a difference.
R. van Persie
Always looked like United's most dangerous attacker even in a turgid opening hour. Constantly willing to take the ball and unlucky not score himself.
Provided the corners which changed the game. Frustrated for much of the game, but those two moments of class were all that was needed.
Kept Robin van Persie as quiet as is arguably possible. Needed all of his experience to shackle a threatening front line but could do little to control his team-mates when they fell apart defensively from a set-piece.
Not required as much as he might have expected but handled well and controlled his box. Might have done better to get at Welbeck's header across goal which resulted in Evans scoring.
Largely dealt with United's threat down his wing. Substituted with half-an-hour remaining.
Occasionally looked like he did not know whether or not to go tight on his man but defended well for the majority of the game until the late crumble.
Spent much of his time tracking his full-back but made a vital contribution to tee up Mackie early in the second half.
Industrious as usual in the middle. Worked well to close out United's midfield alongside Faurlin.
Made some crucial interceptions and showed real intelligence in the middle of the park.
Nullified Ashley Young entirely and got forward to good effect at times.
A typically enigmatic performance from the midfielder. Combined moments of genius with some terrible decision making.
A threat on the counter for the entirety of the game but didn't always pick the correct option.
Worked incedibly hard to support both Cisse and his team's defensive effort. Couldn't miss from two yards when teed up by Dyer but got himself in the right position.
- 23 T. Cleverley
Entirely changed the game. His physicality in midfield pushed United on following his introduction and his assist for Chicharito's goal was top class.
His movement gave the tired QPR defence a test they did not need and got on the scoresheet, as per usual.
