FC Dallas saw its playoff hopes take a hit when it could only manage a 1-1 draw at Chivas USA, which ended a franchise record seven-game losing streak.
The Hoops started the match on the front foot, and were rewarded with an early goal. David Ferreira got a shot off which Dan Kennedy saved, and Blas Perez was on hand to tap home the rebound from close range.
Chivas USA picked up its play in the second half and eventually found an equalizing goal. Miller Bolaños sent in a cross which Kevin Hartman could only get a piece of, and Jorge Villafaña was unmarked at the back post to finish.
FCD now sits four points back of Vancouver for the fifth and final Western Conference playoff spot, with each side having two games left to play.
