A back-and-forth match left both sides equal after six goals, with San Jose equalizing in the fifth minute of stoppage time in the 3-3 draw with Dallas.

The San Jose Earthquakes once again came back in stoppage time to draw 3-3 with FC Dallas.

The 'Quakes opened the scoring midway through the first half. Former Dallas winger Marvin Chavez burned down the flank and crossed. Chris Wondolowski let the ball bounce between his legs to Alan Gordon, who slotted his shot between Kevin Hartman's feet. Gordon, Wondolowski and Mehdi Ballouchy celebrated by doing pushups.

Dallas equalized before halftime. Jackson skipped past Sam Cronin and pushed the ball into the box. Blas Perez took a touch and shot, the ball trickling across the line despite Jon Busch's glove and the tight angle.

Jackson put a header over the goal and Wondolowski spun through the FCD defense only to have his shot smothered by Hartman as the teams took the 1-1 scoreline into the break.

Dallas took the lead in the 72nd minute. David Ferreira, who started the match with a mask to protect his broken nose but quickly ditched it, collected a second ball and lofted it toward the far post. Perez got his head to it to nip the ball past Busch.

San Jose equalized with the first of a flurry of late goals. Alan Gordon laid the ball off to Steven Lenhart, who crushed a shot from the outside of the box with the outside of his left foot in the 82nd minute.

Five minutes later, Daniel Hernandez uncorked a long-range volley which deflected off Perez's thigh as well as the upright. Matt Hedges followed up to tuck home.

Then, deep in stoppage time, substitute Lenhart notched his second. FCD failed to clear a corner and Justin Morrow lifted it back into the box. Alan Gordon headed it backward into a clump of players, where Lenhart rose the highest to score.
