  DID YOU KNOW?
  • Revolution defender Darrius Barnes scored his first professional goal, in his 88th MLS appearance, giving his side a dramatic 1-1 draw with New York on Saturday, extending the Red Bulls’ winless streak in New England to 10 years.
  • After their Aug. 3 win over New York, the Dynamo were tied for the Eastern Conference lead. They’ve won just one of seven games since, following their 3-1 defeat at Philadelphia last weekend, and now sit in fifth place in the division, holding onto the final playoff spot by a single point.
  • If Houston wins this match, it will eliminate the Philadelphia Union from the playoffs. New England is already mathematically eliminated from postseason contention.
  • Houston is the only MLS team yet to lose at home game this season. At BBVA Compass Stadium, the Dynamo have posted an outstanding 9-0-5 record, outscoring opponents 26-13.
  • New England, on the other hand, has been less than effective on the road. Away from home, the Revs have gone 1-10-2, and have been outscored 24-14 by their opponents.
