Los Angeles Galaxy 4-2 Toronto FC: Galaxy clinch playoff spot
The Los Angeles Galaxy clinched a spot in the MLS playoffs with a win on Saturday night.
Victor Decolongon
Juninho led the way for the Los Angeles Galaxy on Saturday night as the team clinched a spot in the MLS playoffs with a 4-2 win over Toronto FC.
The Brazilian's first goal of the night came in the form of a brilliant free kick in the 11th minute. His second, in the 33rd, was a laser of a shot from 40 yards out.
Robbie Keane made it 3-0 three minutes later, and it looked as if the Galaxy would cruise to the easiest of wins.
Terry Dunfield had other ideas and had his side back within two goals minutes later, heading home a flicked on throw.
With time running out, Luis Silva handed TFC a lifeline with an odd goal finding its way home to make it 3-2 late on, but a second from Keane, this time taking his defender off the dribble and ripping home his shot, put the game out of reach and put the Galaxy into the playoffs.
