Seattle Sounders FC 2-0 Vancouver Whitecaps: Montero the hero off the bench
Fredy Montero came off the bench to help secure a 2-0 win over Vancouver in the Cascadia clash.

Seattle Sounders FC beat Cascadia rivals the Vancouver Whitecaps 2-0 with Fredy Montero scoring the winning goal as a substitute. The crowd, 55,718 strong, was Seattle's second largest of the season.
With the game scoreless midway through the second half, Montero came off the bench to score. Mauro Rosales floated a free kick into the box and Jeff Parke chested the ball down to the unmarked Colombian. Montero pulled the trigger just in time to evade a sliding challenge.
Montero has six goals and two assists from 10 sub appearances this season.
Eddie Johnson secured the result in the 84th minute. Brad Evans burst down the right flank and crossed in front of goal, leaving EJ with a simple tap-in.
