In a game that featured more yellow cards (nine) than shots on goal (three), FC Dallas beat the Vancouver Whitecaps, 2-0, in Canada.
David Ferriera created both goals. An hour into the match, he flicked on a long throw for Fabian Castillo to sprint onto. As he was falling in the box, Castillo slid the ball past Joe Cannon.
For the second Ferreira held off one defender and cut behind another, teeing up Jonathan Top for his first MLS goal.
