Sanna Nyassi's second-half solo effort was the difference at Gillette Stadium, as the Montreal Impact earned a 1-0 road victory over the New England Revolution.

New England had the better of the first half, and was frustrated to not score after hitting the woodwork twice. First, a Chris Tierney cross skipped through the box before striking the far post. Then, just before the half, Saer Sene rattled the crossbar after a quick counterattack.

The Revs were made to pay 15 minutes into the second half, thanks to a stunning solo goal from Sanna Nyassi. The Gambian stole the ball well inside his own half, and went on a 75 yard sprint, cutting through A.J. Soares before firing home from outside of the box.

With the victory, Montreal moves to within three points of a playoff spot, though it has played four more matches than D.C. United, the team occupying the fifth and final position. New England is now 0-5-1 in its last six matches, with a playoff berth slowly slipping away.
