Two weeks after claiming a 1-0 win over D.C. at home, Columbus fell by the same scoreline in the nation's capital.

Chris Pontius tallied five minutes into the second half as D.C. United beat the Columbus Crew 1-0 on Saturday evening.
Nick De Leon created the game's only goal. The rookie rounded his marker as he tore towards the end line. In the box he pirouetted on the ball, shifted the ball around another defender and pushed a low cross into the congested goalmouth. Long Tan couldn't quite make enough connection, so Chris Pontius finished off the chance at the far post.
Andy Gruenebaum pulled off six saves to keep the scoreline down.
