Eddie Johnson scored and assisted in a 2-1 win over the Colorado Rapids which gave Seattle Sounders FC three important away points.
The match got off to a blistering start. In only the second minute Johnson made clean contact with a Mauro Rosales corner, thumping a header into the goal.
One minute later Colorado was even. Brian Mullan hit a hopeful corner from the byline and it bounced to the far post where no one had picked up Drew Moor. He smashed his shot into the roof of the netting.
In the second half EJ turned provider, chipping the ball into the box for Osvaldo Alonso to bounce a half-volley past Matt Pickens.
