Real Salt Lake 2-0 Colorado Rapids: Saborio and Johnson on target for RSL
Goals from Alvaro Saborio and Will Johnson were both on target as RSL grabbed a rivalry win over Colorado.
George Frey
Mistakes from the Rapids defense helped Real Salt Lake take a 2-0 rivalry win over Colorado on Saturday night.
Marvell Wynne's soft back pass in the 32nd minute led to RSL's first goal. Fabian Espindola pounced on the poor pass and got the touch that was needed to set up Alvaro Saborio for a touch into an empty net.
Saborio was involved in the second goal as well, coming from behind to steal the ball from an unsuspecting Tyrone Marshall before finding a streaking Will Johnson down the right.
Johnson's finish was perfect and with the goal coming in the final minutes of the match it put away any chance of a comeback for the Rapids.
