Toronto FC won a wild 3-2 affair against the Vancouver Whitecaps at BMO Field Wednesday night. Terry Dunfield's last-ditch header clinched the game after a stoppage-time header by Darren Mattocks appeared to give the visitors a 2-2 draw.

Toronto FC should have taken the lead near the end of the first half, after Ryan Johnson was unable to convert on two breakaway opportunities within a span of five minutes. First, Joe Cannon made a big diving save, then the Jamaican struck his shot off the post.

The home side was made to rue those misses at the start of the second half, as Mattocks opened the scoring. The striker originally had his shot stopped off a lobbed ball, but made no mistake on the rebound, scoring from a sharp angle.

Toronto struck back though, and took the lead with two goals in a three minute span. First Luis Silva converted from close range after flicking on a cross from Ashtone Morgan. Then Torsten Frings hit a rocket from 25 yards that evaded a crowd in the Whitecaps area.

The game would only get more wild in stoppage time. Vancouver thought it earned a point when Mattocks pulled off a massive leap to get his head on a long cross for the equalizer. In the game's dying seconds, however, Toronto snatched all three points when Dunfield rose to head home a Frings corner kick and send the crowd at BMO Field into raptures.
