Seattle Sounders FC 0-2 Columbus Crew: Seattle loses second straight home game
Justin Meram scored for the third straight game to help lead Columbus to a surprise midweek win over Seattle.

Seattle Sounders FC gave up four goals in the opening 10 games of the season. Now they have conceded four in the last two games. The Columbus Crew won 2-0 in CenturyLink Field to give Seattle its second straight home loss.
Justin Meram opened the scoring a quarter hour in. He beat Adam Johansson to a Dilly Duka cross and powered a header past Bryan Meredith.
Seattle out-shot Columbus 21 to five and held over 60 percent of the possession. Andy Gruenebaum made six saves for his shutout. Meredith didn't block one.
Emilio Renteria completed the smash-and-grab away win deep in the second half with a tidy volley.
