FC Dallas 1-1 Portland Timbers: Dallas held to a draw at home
Portland earned a draw against the Hoops in Dallas on Saturday night as the teams looked to continue their strong starts to the season.

FRISCO, Texas - FC Dallas had to settle for a single point against the Portland Timbers on Saturday night as the two sides played out a 1-1 draw.
Blas Perez notched his first goal of the season 22 minutes in. Perez knocked in an easy finish for the goal after Timbers 'keeper Troy Perkins deflected Ricardo Villar’s shot. With Perez tallying two assists in last week’s win against New York, the Panamanian forward is already making his presence known at the front of the Hoops’ attack.
The Timbers closed the first half playing well and continued that momentum in the second half, as substitute Darlington Nagbe did not take long to have and impact after coming on.
In the 51st minute FC Dallas 'keeper Kevin Hartman hit a poor clearance that eventually fell to Nagbe, who broke in on goal and leveled the score.
Other than a Kris Boyd shot that hit the post, that ended the offense for both sides, as neither team was able to carry a consistent attack.
