World Cup Qualifying Preview: Canada - Panama
Canada can grab top spot in Group C with a win against Panama at BMO Field.

- Panama and Canada are first and second, respectively, in Group C of the current qualification phase. Honduras sits in third with Cuba rounding out the group. The top two teams will advance to the final round.
- Panama opened the current round of qualification with a shock 2-0 victory at Honduras, with both goals coming from FC Dallas striker Blas Perez.
- Canada has not qualified for a World Cup since 1986. It has not reached the final round of qualifying, the Hexagonal, since 1998. Panama is hoping to qualify for its first ever World Cup tournament.
- With his next goal, Dwayne De Rosario will take sole custody of Canada's all-time scoring lead. He is currently tied with former national team head coach Dale Mitchell.
Canada is currently enjoying a record seven-game streak of home World Cup qualifiers with attendances of at least 10,000. BMO Field has hosted five of those matches.
