88′ Ned Grabavoy

Really would have expected more out of Seattle. Nothing going the Sounders' way tonight and it will be a huge ask going back to Seattle with this kind of hill to climb. Not the team we expected to see tonight. RSL on the other hand is the team everybody thought would show up all year.

90′ +5
Easy breezy and RSL is up 3-0 heading to Seattle for Wednesday's second leg.

90′ +4
About a minute to go.

90′ +3
Yellow Card Erik Friberg

90′ +2
Can't be much time left. Seattle looks utterly overwhelmed right now. RSL completely taking the Sounders apart tonight and now back to back yellow cards for bad fouls.

90′ +1
Yellow Card Fredy Montero

90′
Headed to stoppage time and the Sounders need something like a miracle. Montero just picked up a yellow, stupidly might I add. Frustration showing through for a bad night at the office.

88′
Goal Ned Grabavoy
AND IT'S 3-0!!! That has to hurt. Grabavoy with the finish. That makes life really tough on Seattle going home.

87′
RSL seems comfortable with the way this has gone. Was going to say they'd slowed down the attacks, but Espidola becomes a one man attack and forces a save out of Keller, winning a corner.

85′
Gil into the match for RSL to try and help finish this one out.

84′
Substitution Nat Borchers Luis Gil

82′
Sounders had numbers forward and Montero has it taken off his foot by a retreating Johnson just before he could get the shot away. Wouldn't be a bad result for Seattle if it can pull even one back.

80′
Another corner gone by for Seattle. Nothing from it.

79′
Substitution Javier Morales Ned Grabavoy

78′
Not many times tonight that Nick Rimando has had to do much. Had to make a catch there. Seattle coming into the match more minute by minute.

77′
Substitution Alvaro Fernandez Roger Levesque

77′
Corner for Seattle, out of play, and now the Sounders are making a third sub.

74′
Seattle having a nice spell. A couple of good attacks there.

71′
And if that's not enough, Saborio has another hit on a layoff from Espindola but puts his high and hard over the goal.

70′
Keller knocks another ball away from Saborio.

68′
Johnson cuts inside and has another go. He's looked a real threat tonight.

66′
Game is pretty wide open right now. A lot of space on both ends. RSL shouldn't get too comfortable.

64′
That was dangerous if Fernandez hits a decent ball. Good move to create space but his left foot puts it over the bar instead of on Montero's head where it needed to be.

63′
Substitution Samuel Ochoa Michael Fucito

63′
Another change about to come on for Seattle. Sigi is rolling the dice here, trying to get something going in this match.

61′
Seattle at least has numbers back on defense, but RSL is pushing forward hard, trying to put this playoff series to bed.

60′
Substitution Lamar Neagle Erik Friberg

60′
Lots of hard tackles still coming in. Seattle is going to make a change, and that had to happen sooner or later.

57′
The Sounders have a corner now, won by Fernandez. They need something positive sometime soon... and that's caught by the keeper.

56′
This match has the potential to get ugly in a number of different ways.

54′
Yellow Card Osvaldo Alonso
And Alonso picks up a card. Stupid. Probably should have been sent off. Morales is arguing it, pointing to the replay on the big board at the stadium.

53′
Goal Álvaro Saborío
WHAT A GOAL!!!!! Saborio shows his touch, and there's no answer for that kind of touch around the net. Can't defend it any better.

52′
Another foot race between Espindola and a defender, won again by the defender, but Seattle once again can't get it clear.

51′
It seems like Seattle can't do anything that doesn't require a 40-yard perfectly weighted ball.

50′
Still more pressure from RSL. Corner coming now, won by Espindola.... Morales plays it way to short and it's banged clear but comes right back up the pitch.

48′
Keller already in action. Morales and Williams both had looks at it. Seattle needs to get this under control or it could be a really long flight home.

47′
Second half has started as much of the first half was played, with Seattle on the ball.

46′
Back at it.

Halftime is here. 1-0 to RSL. It's a just lead for how the half went, but Seattle fans will have arguments with the goal. Saborio might have been offside. Tough call either way, but the home side has been in control through most of the half.

45′ +2
Fernandez with a great look from a cross. Just bad contact there, pushed it wide of the mark.

45′ +1
Saborio had another decent look there, slipped in behind. Tough angle though and Keller was comfortable.

44′
That's what this game needed. It's looked likely, and there will be some reason for debate. Saborio might have been offside. So close, not sure the assistant ref got it right.

41′
Goal Álvaro Saborío
RSL has taken the lead. What a great move to get it there, and Saborio finished it off.

40′
Seattle is really having problems right now. The ball seems to be staying on that end of the pitch, and the team is having trouble getting it cleared.

38′
Espindola got on the end of a ball there but couldn't bring it down to get his shot off. It feels like RSL is going to be close all night, but can they finish any of these chances?

37′
Seattle tries to hit on the break, Evans floating in a cross, knocked over the bar.

36′
Physical game to this point. Chippy even.

35′
RSL having a lot of the ball. Seattle still struggling to get into the match.

32′
Substitution Jamison Olave Chris Schuler
Olave off the pitch. That's hard to take for RSL. He's looked very strong early on.

30′
Yellow Card Fabian Espindola
And now we'll get a card on Espindola. Worthy, he dove in recklessly and put himself in a bad spot, but Russell actually made contact that could have injured somebody.

28′
Not sure how that wasn't worth a card. Sure looked similar to what a card looks like.

27′
This could be an issue. Russell with a really bad foul on Fernandez.

25′
RSL is really getting the better of this in the early going.

23′
Sounders can't seem to break down RSL's midfield and move forward with any kind of numbers.

21′
Seattle is living dangerously right now. Almost got caught on the break there, but a touch was enough to push it wide.

20′
Will Johnson has a go and what a go it really was. Forced Keller into a save that he had to give up the rebound, but Seattle gets it clear.

19′
RSL gets it dealt with in the end and out of play for a goalkick.

18′
Now Russell is called for a foul at the other end and it's in a great spot for service. Good angle to whip in a dangerous ball.

17′
This time Montero slides all the way back and gets it clear by drawing another foul.

16′
Sounders having some trouble getting a corner clear. Finally Russell commits a foul and Seattle gets to clear. Comes right back down for another corner though.

14′
Espindola in a footrace trying to get on the end of a ball that was never meant for him, gets it tackled away. That could have been terrible for Seattle.

12′
No real chances out of Seattle yet., but the teams are still kind of sharing possession. Seattle moving forward at the moment.

10′
Seattle starting to be on top a bit. A nice run of pressure. Espindola has looked pretty sharp. Tricky player, moves in odd ways around the pitch.

8′
First dangerous moment of the night. Saborio gets his head on a free kick and pushes it wide of the mark. Not the man Seattle wants to let get those kind of looks though.

5′
Seems to be a lot of energy, but nobody has grabbed the match yet. Fast pace right now though, for the opening of a playoff game.

3′
First corner of the night also goes to Seattle. Montero got in behind and forced it. RSL gets it clear.

2′
Early foul called on RSL. Seattle send it out of play.

1′
And we're off!

The lineups are set and there's plenty of firepower on show. Javier Morales is a man very much worth watching in big matches, and for Seattle it's hard to ignore Fredy Montero. Both are such gifted players. For Morales it's more about setting the table, while Montero is all about the quality finishing. Should be a great match, and kickoff is coming at you shortly.

Getting ready for a big match between Real Salt Lake and Seattle. Two of the favorites coming into the season, both had some struggles along the way. But it wouldn't be a shock to anyone if either of these teams made a deep playoff run.
