The Colorado Rapids ended their regular season on a high with a 2-1 comeback win over the Vancouver Whitecaps.
Alain Rochat opened the scoring for Vancouver when his free kick evaded both his teammates and the Colorado defense to bounce in at the back post in the 49th minute.
Just 10 minutes later Jeff Larentowicz pulled the Rapids level. The midfielder put a free kick of his own in the net, sneaking it in through the wall and past Joe Cannon.
Wells Thompson finished off the match in the 84th minute. After several Colorado attacks were pushed back but never properly cleared the ball fell to Thompson. He ripped home the deflected winner from just outside the box.
