Toronto FC and the New England Revolution finished their seasons off with a 2-2 draw Saturday afternoon at BMO Field.
Nick Soolsma opened the scoring for the home side, before Monsef Zerka and Milton Caraglio gave New England the advantage. Danny Koevermans scored late to ensure the honors were shared.
The red-hot Koevermans set up his team's first goal in the 20th minute, crossing low to the near post for Soolsma to turn in.
The lead was short-lived though, as goals on either side of halftime put the visitors in front. Zerka was able to head a Benny Feilhaber corner kick home on 41 minutes, then a poor giveaway from the TFC backliine led to a close range goal for Caraglio right after the break.
It was TFC's outstanding summer signing Koevermans who restored parity in the 83rd minute, scoring his eighth goal in just 10 MLS matches at the back post.
The game ended 2-2, and both sides finished another MLS campaign without making the playoffs.
