D.C. United 1-2 Chicago Fire: Late Fire show stuns RFK Stadium
Sebastian Grazzini and Diego Chaves scored inside stoppage time in an incredible finish at RFK Stadium.

Two Chicago goals inside stoppage time that cancelled out a 90th minute Dwayne De Rosario penalty left the RFK Stadium crowd stunned, and United's playoff hopes crushed with a 2-1 loss.
D.C. thought it had won the match when De Rosario scored from the spot in the final minute of regular time, but its defense collapsed in stoppage time, and the Fire won the game with goals from Sebastian Grazzini and Diego Chaves.
"It’s very, very disappointing on a lot of fronts," Josh Wolff said of the late drama. "I don’t really know what that means (for the playoffs). It means we’re in trouble but hopefully we still have a chance to get in. I think we’ll need some help from New York, but it’s tough. That’s a tough one. I don’t even really know how to respond. It’s a disgusting end to the night."
D.C. started off quickly, as Andy Najar found De Rosario on the far post, but he couldn't direct his diving header on goal.
Midway through the first half, Marco Pappa made space for a right-footed shot from inside the box, but it was right at Bill Hamid who was able to punch the ball away.
With five minutes left in the half, Perry Kitchen beat Chicago goalkeeper Sean Johnson to the ball off a corner, but directed his header over the bar.
A quarter of an hour into the second half, the home side had a penalty shout. Josh Wolff turned the corner on Yamith Cuesta, who bundled the D.C. forward over at the byline inside the box. Referee Jorge Gonzalez was unimpressed and waived play on.
United pressed for the goal that it absolutely needed and in the 88th minute, it was handed a lifeline by referee Gonzalez when he ruled Santino Quaranta was fouled inside the box. De Rosario stepped up and sent Johnson the wrong way, burying the penalty to the keeper's right.
The scenes of celebration turned to utter shock when, three minutes into stoppage time, Grazzini collected the ball at the top of the box and rifled a left-footed effort home, leaving Hamid stranded.
Incredibly, it got worse for the home side when a minute later, when Gonzalo Segaras got behind the United defense and was able to save the ball from going out with a sliding pass that found an unmarked Chaves in front of the net for an easy tap in.
"Pretty much, this has been the season in a nutshell right?" De Rosario said after the match. "Giving up bad goals at bad times. I just would like to have seen someone take that one in the face or on the body instead of jumping and turning their back on top of the box."
Now five points behind New York with a game in hand, but just two to play, United's playoff hopes are almost extinguished
