Toronto FC 1-0 Tauro FC: Canadian side moves into second in Group C of the CONCACAF Champions League
A first-half Danny Koevermans stood up to give the Canadian host a 1-0 win over Tauro FC in CONCACAF Champions League play.

Toronto FC beat Tauro FC 1-0 at home to move into second place in Group C of the CONCACAF Champions League. The Canadian side has now defeated Tauro twice in a row, with the wins providing the source for all of its six points in the CCL.
Tauro has drawn with FC Dallas and Mexico's Pumas. Those two clubs are set to play Wednesday.
The game's only goal was scored by Danny Koevermans. The Dutchman flicked a header around the Panamanian goalkeeper from close range in the 40th minute.
"I saw the keeper coming so I just jumped and it touched my head before his hand, so it went in," Koevermans said. "I thought it was offside, but when I fell down I looked at the linesman, and I saw the ref running to the middle line so I knew it was a goal."
Milos Kocic made three saves to blank Tauro, which out-shot Toronto nine to eight (three to two on target).
Referee Terry Vaughn brandished seven yellow cards.
"It was a very good victory because we played against an opponent who played completely differently than when we played them in Panama City," TFC coach Aron Winter said. "This evening they showed also they can play football. Technically they're very good. We played well against them."
