Got a vital hand to Moutinho's shot after seven minutes. Was then left in no-man's land as he came out to claim a cross after 25 minutes but got away with it and got a good hand to Guarin's long-range effort in the second period.
Won a dangerous free-kick on the right and drew a booking in the first half. Constantly attacked Fucile down the right as well, but was less convincing in defence and his bad error let in Rodriguez in the second half. Luckily, Keita got back well to cover.
Found it difficult to contain Guarin and was beaten by Hulk early on as the big forward flashed a shot wide from an angle. But solid and reliable on the whole.
Could have given away a penalty in the second half when he clattered into Hulk. Had switched to his usual role of left-back by then after starting in central defence. Pretty solid.
Constantly involved in Barca's possession play but took a while to stamp his authority on the game following Porto's excellent start. Came close with a long-range effort just before Messi's goal, which Helton pushed over the bar.
Was a lively presence early on but much of his good work was snuffed out by the Porto offside trap. Booked for lashing out at Guarin, although it looked harsh. Linked up excellently with both Villa and Alexis Sanchez.
Not a central defender but you wouldn't know it. The Argentine was excellent in this role, as he was last season. Great tackle to stop Hulk in his tracks early on and made a fantastic covering challenge to clear when Porto could have been in just before half-time.
Defensive midfield isn' t his usual role but the Malian adapted ably. Did well to get back after a bad Alves mistake let in Cristian Rodriguez. Excellent discipline, not something he has always been famed for at Barca.
Caught offside too often in the first half, Villa's low drive straight at Helton early in the second period could have better. The Asturian timed his runs better after the break and had the beating of Sapunaru. Replaced by Alexis.
Whistled by the crowd and pushed deep by Porto early on. Excellent run and through-ball for Villa just short of the half-hour mark but Sapunaru got a vital touch. Was quite literally gifted the opener when he was found alone in the area by Guarin, but did the rest in style as he left Helton grounded with a glorious feint and slotted into the empty net. Then set up Cesc for the second with an inch-perfect cross. The best in Europe and the world.
Volleyed a lob onto the roof of the net after 10 minutes, but perhaps could have squared, Then lost a similar chance when clean through in the second period when Helton caught up with him. Tireless running and gave Fucile a torrid time, especially in first 45 minutes.
The midfielder has made two official appearances for Barca since signing from Arsenal. The first saw him have a hand in Messi's winner in the Spanish Supercopa. The second has seen him win a second title and open his account with a fine goal. What a signing.
Came on in the second half and slotted in ably at the back.
A decent cameo from the Chilean on his way back from injury. Looked lively, showed skills to beat defenders and curled a nice effort wide of the target. Looks promising.
Alert to cut out Messi's through-ball, which Sapunara touched into his path, and made a great pushover to keep out a Xavi strike from 20 yards, but could do nothing to stop Messi from giving Barca the lead shortly before the interval. Came charging off his line to deny Pedro in the second half, but was blameless as Cesc made it 2-0.
Beaten at will by Alves and Pedro but was positionally sound and often left exposed.
Sent off for two bad challenges, although his team were already two down by then. Put in some good defensive work early on to deny Barca as Porto gave as good as they got early on.
His toe-poke to cut out Messi's pass to Villa was vital, but the Spain striker had the beating of the Romanian in the second half.
Cynical stamp on Messi in the first half angered his compatriot. Given a rough ride by the Barca forwards and was beaten for pace on occasions, but did as well as could be expected.
Lively early on but put Messi through wit an awful pass-back which left the Argentine completely alone to open the scoring. Later saw a great effort from distance pushed wide by Valdes, but the damage was already done.
Great shot on the bounce went just wide early on as Valdes got a touch and had another excellent effort deflected wide early in second half. Lively and industrious, Moutinho was the pick of Porto's midfield.
A willing worker on the left and involved in much of Porto's best play. Sent a speculative effort miles over the bar after 26 minutes when racing onto a long pass. Booked for tugging at Alves' shirt and almost went clear in second period, but Keita covered well.
Forgettable performance which saw him replaced late in the game. Worked hard, but had little impact.
Was in the side as Radamel Falcao's replacement and failed to live up to the billing, despite some neat touches early on.
Sent a free kick way over the bar after five minutes, had a great run and shot just wide after 12 minutes and was a muscular presence up front for Porto, starting wide and then later in a central position. But had little joy and no real clear-cut chances either.
Made no impact.
Made little impact as a second-half sub.
Made no impact.
