A late push was not enough for New England after Chicago's big first half.

Ryan Guy netted twice in stoppage time for the New England Revolution, but Chicago's first half output was still enough to keep the Fire's playoff hopes alive with a 3-2 win.

Chicago got off to a great start with Sebastian Grazzini netting a penalty five minutes in. Four minutes later Dominic Oduro made matters worse for New England with his 11th goal of the year, tapping in after rounding the keeper.

Patrick Nyarko rounded out Chicago's onslaught in the 30th when New England goalkeeper Matt Reis had the ball taken off his foot and placed in the net.

New England's late comeback didn't happen until the 90th, when Guy knocked home a goal after Fire keeper Sean Johnson had collided with Milton Caraglio and was left on the ground as the ball found the net. The midfielder then added a second in the 92nd, putting home Diego Fagundez’s cross, but it too late for the Revs to finish off the comeback.
