Sporting Kansas City moved, temporary, joint top of the Eastern Conference with a 3-0 win over the Houston Dynamo on Saturday afternoon.
Two goals from Teal Bunbury and one from C.J. Sapong were more than enough to finish off a Houston team that ended the match with 10 men after Carlo Costly's 64th minutes ejection.
Bunbury opened the scoring in the ninth minute with a lovely finish when he latched onto the end of a Graham Zusi ball. His second came after Costly's ejection. Julio Cesar found him with a wonderful ball that split the Houston backline in the 73rd minute, setting the big striker through on goal.
Sapong finished off the night's scoring when he received a pass from Bunbury's replacement, Kei Kamara, and touched it home.
Sporting is level with Columbus pending the outcome of the Crew's match against Toronto on Saturday night.
