Real Salt Lake took an early lead through a gift from Chivas USA and held it for a 1-0 win over Chivas USA.

Alvaro Saborio's 11th minute goal was enough for Real Salt Lake to take all three points from Chivas USA on Saturday night despite RSL playing a man down from the 24th minute on.

Saborio's goal was a gift from the Goats' defense. A poor initial ball from Ante Jazic was made even worse when David Junior Lopes failed to clear the danger when he had the chance. Saborio collected the ball, rounded Dan Kennedy and passed it into the net to give his team the early lead.

Things looked to be headed Chivas USA's way in the 24th when Nat Borchers was sent off, leaving RSL a man down. But Chivas USA couldn't make good on being a man up. Nick Rimando made several key saves to keep his side ahead and the home side couldn't find the equalizer.
