DID YOU KNOW? |
-
Los Angeles beat Chicago when the two sides met in Illinois earlier this season. Chad Barrett and Omar Gonzalez scored in the 2-1 result.
- Chicago recently drew 1-1 with different Los Angeles opposition, playing to that result against Chivas USA a week ago.
- Dominic Oduro scored the Fire goal in that match. He now has five goals in his last 10 appearances, as well as contributing two assists in 2011. The goal tally already matches career best seasons for Oduro, which he reached once with FC Dallas and once with the Houston Dynamo.
- The tie marked Chicago's 12 draw this season, from 18 games. The Fire has already set an MLS record for consecutive home draws this year.
- The Galaxy comes into this game riding an 11-match unbeaten streak and with the best record in MLS. LA's 36 points double Chicago's 18.
- Injuries to Hejduk, Gonzalez, DeLeGarza and Leonardo could hand Bryan Jordan his first start of the season.
