PSV was held to a 1-1 away draw by Utrecht in Sunday's Eredivisie encounter at the Galgenwaard.
Stefano Lilipaly gifted the home side the lead against the run of play in the second half, before Ola Toivonen leveled the scoring after a corner kick.
Utrecht started the match the better side of the two, and Edouard Duplan got a chance to make it 1-0 after going past Jethro Willems. However, the winger aimed high and wide from a dangerous position.
PSV then took over the initiative and looked dangerous on a number of occasions via Dries Mertens and Tim Matavz, without creating any big chances.
The home side opened the scoring after 66 minutes of play. Poor communication between Andreas Isaksson and Marcelo gifted Lilipaly a big chance, and the youngster found the net with a low shot in the far corner.
Nevertheless, the visiting side restored parity shortly after via Toivonen. The Utrecht defense failed to clear a corner kick, and the attacking midfielder hammered home from close range to make it 1-1.
PSV remains second in the league table following this weekend's results with 38 points from 18 games.
Utrecht is in the Eredivisie's number 14 spot with 18 points from as many games.
