Theo Walcott and Robin Van Persie star in second half showing at the Emirates that was heavily influenced by David Wheater's questionable red card
By Josh Clarke
A few strange decisions with the ball at his feet caused a couple heart-in-mouth moments but otherwise was equal to every question asked of him.
Bolton’s lack of sustained threat going forward meant Koscielny could step up and join in play, which he did to questionable effect.
Will be happy to get clean sheet under belt though he was hardly tested all afternoon.
Justified his selection with a performance that suggested he, rather than Andre Santos, is the left-back at the club who can shore up the defense.
A quiet one by his standards. His team could have done with his usual forays down the right flank in the first half yet the full back was strangely subdued.
Looking increasingly at home in an Arsenal shirt and showed a decent range of passing.
Provided the motor in the midfield with a rangy box-to-box performance and an excellent finish to cap off the day.
Provided an assist and looked sharp all round, working well in tandem with Arteta.
Sloppy touch when through on goal early doors was a bit of a blueprint for the whole afternoon. Bright and sharp yet frustrating in equal measure.
Flashed moments of real incision in a performance where he provided the inspiration up top for his team.
Forced to feed off tidbits in the first half though did excellently to collect ball and lash his effort for his side's breakthrough goal and was composed for the second.
Came on late on with Arsenal having already banked three points.
Introduced late on to ensure Van Persie got his standing ovation
With his team constantly on the back foot it was incredible that he wasn’t tested more often in the first half, though came to his side's rescue in the second with a string of decent saves.
Stepped in to replace Gary Cahill and performed admirably until his red card absolutely killed any hopes his team may have had of salvaging a point
Was subject to wave upon wave of Arsenal attack, a horrible afternoon for the center-half.
Was terrorized in the second half though little protection was offered to him
Was little he could do as Arsenal began to run riot, a bad day at the office.
Regularly bypassed in the middle with the opponent’s proficiency in possession of the ball making the midfielder redundant for large periods of the game.
Added some mettle to his side’s performance though there seemed little he could do to prevent Arsenal’s attacking ambitions.
Came close to opening the scoring at the very beginning, but otherwise found it difficult to make much of an impact on events.
Was anonymous for large periods of the game. Struggled badly to make an impact.
Had one effort which he tamely struck at Szczesny but will want to forget this one as soon as possible.
Limped off early in the proceedings with little time to justify his starting place for the visitors.
Brought on as cover for Wheater but by that point his team was well and truly beaten.
Engaged primarily in defensive efforts after coming on early doors. A thankless afternoon.
