Fans' Rating Manchester City 4-0 Swansea: Sergio Aguero scores twice and sets up another as substitute on debut
The Blues' opening game of season becomes a one-man show as Argentine debutant lights up Etihad Stadium with a brilliant display from the bench that leaves Swansea stunned.

Manchester City's newest star Sergio Aguero made an immediate impact.
The Argentinian forward scored twice and added an assist in his Manchester City debut to help his team coast to a 4-0 victory over Swansea City and show the rest of the Premier League that the Blues mean business.
Edin Dzeko and David Silva were also amongst the scorers as Manchester City dominated for the full 90 minutes. Manchester City could have walked out of Etihad Stadium with an even greater margin of victory but was unlucky in the first half.
After hitting the woodwork twice in the opening 45 minutes, Manchester City came out of the half frustrated before Dzeko finally put one across the goal line. Then Aguero took over.
With City finally in the lead, Mancini introduced Aguero in the 59th minute to his adoring public and the Blues’ fans raised the roof to welcome their record signing. Aguero almost had the perfect start, with his first touch hammered toward the goal, forcing keeper Michel Vorm to make an excellent save.
It took under nine minutes for Aguero to have another bite of the cherry. An overlapping run on the right from Micah Richards drew the Swansea defense to him which allowed the newcomer to slot home from the far post in the 68th minute. And it didn't stop there.
Just three minutes later, Aguero chased a seemingly dead ball to flick overhead and allowed Silva to stroke home a quick-fire third to leave the Swansea squad stunned. When Mancini signed the striker from Atletico, this was what he was after.
As most of the fans were making for the exits, Aguero made yet another statement of intent. A seemingly danger free passage of play resulted in the Argentine shocking everyone, with a thunderbolt from 35 yards that left the ground in awe of the talent in front of them.
Swansea was thrown in at the deep end as it travelled to east Manchester but the signs of a team which will surprise a few were clearly there.
The Swans made an encouraging start to life in the elite of English football with spells of sustained possession and a confidence which belied their unwanted whipping boy status. The first 10 minutes saw Swansea having the lion’s share of the play and its fans relished the positive start they made.
Vorm's night wasn't as poor as the scoreboard showed as he made several impressive saves, especially in the first half.
The game showed a number of themes for both sides. Manchester City will be a serious title challenger and will no doubt, inflict such a performance on many more sides this term. Swansea on the other hand showed plenty in the first period and will cause some of the bigger names problems throughout the coming season.
