The game has been delayed once again because of the lightning.
An excellent cross from Soolsma that finds Plata at the back post and his shot is just held up on the line by Nolly.
Yellow Card Jesús Rubio
Substitution Ty Harden Tony Tchani
Vancouver are defending very deep and Toronto just aren't finding the right ball in the final third.
Cann stops a through ball which would have led to a Camilo breakaway, with his hand. The referee misses it and the Vancouver bench is furious. It would have been a red card.
Toronto pushing for the tying goal, while Vancouver look more inclined to play on the counter.
Penalty Goal Joao Plata
Yellow Card Eric Hassli
Substitution Shea Salinas Russell Teibert
The game at BMO has restarted!!!
The first half is done and Vancouver is in the lead by a score of 1-0 courtesy of Eric Hasli's long ranged goal. Toronto had a modest first half and will need to really up the tempo in the second half.
Rain Delay continues. It may take another ten minutes for game to get started again.
Lightning has put the game on a thirty minute hold.
There will be one minute of extra time.
Plata does really well to find Maicon Santos in the box, but Santos' shot from a difficult angle goes wide of Nolly.
Terrific move from Camilo who beats Adrian Cann with a dummy on the turn, goes one on one with Williams but his central shot was never going to harm Frei.
A great early ball in from Eckersely that finds Maicon Santos in the box with space but he just cant get the shot off! A wasted opportunity for the reds.
Great quick movement from Yourassowky whose low cross finds Maicon Santos in the box but hes unable to turn on Jay De Meritt and only manages a soft harmful shot. But great movement from Toronto, they have to be as fast as they were on that play if they are going to cause problems to this Vancouver defense.
Soolsma's run gets him into a good position at the top of the box but his shot goes over Nolly's goal.
Vancouver's Koffie tries a really long ranged shot but it goes way over.
Toronto is trying to respond to Hasli's goal but they don't look threatening so far, as Vancouver defends deep comfortably.
Goal Camilo Da Silva Sanvezzo
Substitution Maicon Santos Jesús Rubio
Yourassowsky taken down in the box and the reds fans are claiming a penalty. He does go down easy but the contact is there.
GOAL!!!! Eric Hasli does it again with a long ranged shot that goes right into the bottom corner, but this time it took a strong deflection.
After a more reserved first ten minutes to the game, both teams are going at each other now.
The rain is starting to come down rather heavily at BMO field and it will be interesting to see what effect that has on the game.
Maicon Santos breaks through the Vancouver defence and his pass across the box is deflected wide for a corner. The corner doesn't amount to much.
A wonderful through ball from Eric Hasli who finds the path of Camilo's diagonal run but Camilo just misses the target! An early warning for Toronto in what has been a rather cautious game so far.
The whistle has blown and were off with Vancouver attacking from left to right!
Vancouver are undefeated against Toronto in their two meetings so far this year and both matches have been high paced exciting games; this one shouldn't be any different. Both teams have come onto the field and the Voyageur Cup awaits its victor. The National anthems and then kick off.
Vancouver Starting XI: 1.Nolly; 25.Leathers, 6.DeMerit, 14.Janicki, 4.Rochat; 22.Salinas, 7.Dunfield, 28.Koffie, 20.Chiumiento;37.Camilo, 29.Hassli Toronto Starting XI: Frei; 27.Eckersley, 31.Williams, 12.Cann, 19.Yourassowsky; 18.Soolsma, 22.Tchani, 6.de Guzman, 10.Stevanovic, 7.Plata; Santos
The first leg finished in a 1-1 draw. Toronto just needs a goalless draw or a win to go through, while Vancouver needs a higher scoring draw than 1-1 (ie 2-2, 3-3 ...) or a win to progress. A 1-1 draw after 90 minutes will mean extra time and a potential penalty shootout!
