Jamaica finished its Gold Cup Group campaign atop Group B following a 1-0 win against Honduras.
Ryan Johnson scored the only goal of the match on 36 minutes, albeit under somewhat fortuitous circumstances. The 26-year old fired an effort from distance that hit the crossbar and bounced in off the back of goalkeeper Noel Valladares.
After winning a penalty from Osman Chavez in the 71st minute, Johnson had a chance to double the Reggae Boyz' advantage, but Valladares saved his spot kick, leaving Honduras with a chance until the final whistle. However, the Catrachos were unable to draw level and had to come to terms with a defeat.
The result sees Jamaica enter the quarter-finals having won all three of its group stage matches. Honduras qualifies as well, having finished second in Group B ahead of Guatemala on goal difference.
