Make some key saves against the strong Costa Rican attack.
Stayed in front of his man and won some key headers.
Sparked Mexico against Costa Rica. El Tri was slow in the beginning of the game but Marquez's goal to open up its scoring inspired his teammates.
Was a strong player minalimizing Ruiz's impact in the game.
Was calm in the midfield and made key passes.
Barrera took advantage of a disheartened Costa Rican defense by powering in a shot.
Held his own against the likes of Sabario and Ruiz and assisted a tough defense.
Was solid tonight but wasn't as spectacular as he was in the first two outings.
Proved his dominance against Costa Rica tonight, exploiting the team's weak defense on the flanks. His two strikes should how Dangerous he was on the night.
Like Chicharito, had an average night compared to his previous efforts from the last night. Made some slashing runs toward goal but couldn't find the back of the goal.
He's human after all. He had an average game tonight making good solid runs and being on target with his shots.

As he proved in the first two matches of the Gold Cup, De Nigris is El Tri's physical presence up top.
Made some saves but was the unfortunate victim of Mexico's attack.
Had a long night against Mexico as he wasn't able to keep in front of anyone.
Like the rest of Costa Rica's defense, was inept against Mexico.
Was embarrassing against Mexico, he couldn't keep up and ended sitting in the second half.
Was poor throughout the match and couldn't stop any advancing player.
Looked out of his depth against Mexico tonight.
Was average in the midfield.
Couldn't Mexico's midfield and couldn't keep possession long enough to assist Costa Rica's attack.
He was assertive but most of his shots went begging.
Assisted Urena's goal but was a disappointing night for the highly touted forward.
Came in the second half and stopped some of the damage from the first half.
He was poor against Mexico but he one of the stronger defenders for Costa Rica.
Had a great strike that gave Costa Rica a brief chance to get back in the game. Still, it was a little too late. Great sub by Costa Rica.
