79′
Robbie Findley
90′ +5
That's all from me, Zac Lee Rigg. Stay tuned to Goal.com for match reactions and player ratings.
90′ +4
Wow. Just wow. After four minutes of stoppage time, FCD somehow manages to hold on for the draw and aggregate win. Dallas advances to the Western Conference final, to play either Seattle or Los Angeles.
90′ +3
Jair Benitez wins a crucial header in the box, but takes a follow-through head from Olave. He's down.
90′ +2
Olave pumps the ball into the box, where Espindola goes up for it with Loyd. Espindola crumbles holding his face, but he's never going to get a weak penalty like that.
89′
Warner drills a low cross from the left that bounces through the six-yard box, but no one can get a touch. Then Luna leads a counter all the way to the other end and hits a tame shot which Rimando claims. End to end stuff here.
88′
Substitution
Jackson
Eric Alexander
88′
Alexander replaces Jackson mostly as a time-wasting move.
87′
Beckerman sprays a ball over the top. Findley races onto it wins the header, but can't direct it on target.
86′
Paulo Jr. looks like he's playing down the right flank. He just fired in another cross which Hartman managed to deal with.
84′
Yellow Card Zach Loyd
84′
Loyd picks up a yellow for time wasting. If they hold on, it's well worth it.
82′
That goal made things interesting. RSL is throwing absolutely everything at Dallas, knowing a goal ensures overtime.
79′
Goal Robbie Findley
79′
Breakthrough. RSL has finally find a way past Kevin Hartman. Williams lofts a ball into the box, where Borchers latches onto it. His header takes a deflection and falls kindly to Findley, who tucks it in at the near post.
77′
Substitution
Jeff Cunningham
Ruben Luna
76′
Hartman yet again. This time Warner gets behind Loyd and is one-on-one with the goalie. A low kick save keeps RSL out.
75′
Dallas guys were hanging on the crossbeam to help cover for the stranded Hartman.
74′
Borchers latches onto a Johnson cross in behind the defense and goalie, but can head downward. Instead it flies high and some last ditch clearances get it away.
73′
Substitution
Ned Grabavoy
Paulo Jr.
70′
Cunningham leads the charge on a counterattack, teasing his markers at full pace before blasting a shot near post. With little angle, Rimando bats it away.
68′
Beckerman uses a defensive slip to find enough space for a long shot. Hartman manages to bat it away, and Dallas take off on the counter. Ferreira found Cunningham, but the offside flag called it back.
65′
Substitution
Álvaro Saborío
Robbie Findley
65′
Sabario makes way for Robbie Findley. Sabario probably wouldn't have started if this wasn't a playoff match because of his injured knee. He looked knackered and sluggish all match, snatching at chances. The Espindola - Findley partnership offers speed, but they won't have much space to use it.
64′
The tide has shifted. RSL holding onto the ball and creating the best chances. Some good build up ends in a cross into the box that's headed out for a throw.
61′
Substitution
Marvin Chávez
Zach Loyd
61′
This is interesting. Loyd comes in to replace Chavez. Loyd started last match and is a fine player, clearly in to compensate for the extra RSL attacker in the game. However, Chavez's pace was essential for closing down RSL's distribution out of the back.
56′
Substitution
Robbie Russell
Collen Warner
56′
Warner in for Russell. Kreis is going for it. Will Johnson will switch over to the right as a nominal fullback, though he'll likely keep his midfield positioning.
55′
Chavez had Beltran beat for pace, but let the ball get away from him. Beltran's arm caught Chavez in the face, who stayed down.
53′
Williams plays a delicate chip over the backline to Sabario. As Sabario wound up to take a snap shot, George John knocked the ball away, with RSL claiming he used his hand. No penalty, and Dallas keeps its two goal cushion.
49′
Save of the series. Williams finally gets involved, threading a perfect ball through the Dallas defense onto the run of Espindola. The Argentine sends Hartman the wrong way, but Hartman's trailing foot tips the low drive over the crossbeam.
49′
RSL starting with much more energy in the second half. Still haven't seen enough patient passing, but the desire is there.
47′
Looked like Russell grabbed Shea's jersey to prevent a chance. RSL living on the edge here.
45′
Second half kickoff. No changes for either side, with RSL still needing two goals.
Dallas will need to see how long they can continue the high press before players tire. If they can go the full 90 like this, the game could be wrapped up.
Key for RSL will patience in the second half. More of this long ball nonsense and Dallas will head to the conference final. With 45 full minutes still to play, Kreis needs to preach composure and coolness, the traits which brought the team this fir.
That's halftime. Dallas has used high pressure to disrupt Salt Lake's game plan and looks easily in control. David Ferreira has orchestrated the best bits and his set piece delivery has tested the RSL defense every time. Andy Williams, on the other hand, has been anonymous.
45′ +2
Johnson finds some room from 35 yards out and hits a swerving shot. It had Hartman worried, but just missed the far post.
45′
Chavez should have buried this series. Cunningham strings the ball through and Chavez sidefooted about a foot wide of the post. McCarty was wide open to his left, but he really should have hit the target from there.
41′
By the way, Hartman's still struggling from his Henry-induced injury. He makes defenders take his goal kicks for him.
40′
Grabavoy smacks a dipping volley from distance. The rebound fell to Espindola, whose shot fizzed just inches high. RSL finally carving out some real chances as the half comes to a close.
38′
George John with two clearances right off the fingertips of his goalkeeper. The first came from a clever downward header from Sabario. Then a Williams shot from the rebound took a deflection. Hartman probably had both covered, but John wasn't taking any chances.
34′
Yellow Card Nat Borchers
34′
This game won't end 11 v 11. Borchers this time collects the yellow for dragging down Cunningham when the break was on. Intense stuff over in Utah.
31′
Oh my. A Ferreira corner finds Cunningham unmarked in the middle of the penalty area. Instead of overtaking Jaime Moreno's goalscoring record, however, Cunningham headed over. His head in his hands showed how close that was.
28′
Yellow Card Ned Grabavoy
28′
More drama. Shea latched onto a Chavez cross-field ball to get in behind the defense. Grabavoy rushed back and speared him with his cleats just a yard or two outside of the box. If now, Shea was through. Yellow card issued once again.
27′
Yellow Card Marvin Chávez
27′
Now it's Chavez's turn to see yellow. He's all pace and bluster right now, but in that instance it was a bit too much, as he slid into the back of Beltran.
25′
Yellow Card Jamison Olave
25′
Marvin Chavez takes off sprinting when Beckerman coughs up the ball. Olave takes him down to collect a yellow. From the free kick, Rimando spilled the ball but managed to grab it again before it could cause damage.
21′
That's a huge, huge goal. RSL now needs to score twice just to send the match into overtime.
18′
Looks like Kyle Beckerman who got sucked in, along with three other teammates, to box Ferreira in. McCarty saw the open space through the middle and just took of sprinting. Borchers also at fault for sliding over too far.
17′
Goal Dax McCarty
17′
That could be a dagger. Dax McCarty of all people stabs the ball into the back of the net. Ferreira (of course) orchestrated the move with a lofted ball to the middle, where Shea knocked it down into the path of McCarty.
13′
Beckham with a sumptuous cross into the six-yard box after cutting past Shea. Sabario was a fraction off and Hartman punched away regardless.
12′
RSL with two chances at the top of the box, but Dallas leaning on some late defending to prevent clear shots.
7′
Dallas providing what looks like 3/4 court press. The high wingers and Cunningham trying to stifle Salt Lake's slick passing game before it can get off the defenders' feet.
5′
Remember, Dallas won 2-1 in Texas. Away goals don't count, so if RSL wins by one goal, this game goes to overtime and then penalties. A draw or Dallas win sees Hyndman's boys go through.
4′
Brek Shea puts the ball in the back of the net, but he's offside. Dallas moved forward swiftly and energetically, with Cunningham providing a tidy low pass into the box. Shea wasn't more than two feet off. That could have been huge in this series.
2′
As expected, Brek Shea replaces the suspended Atiba Harris for Dallas. RSL shifted Andy Williams into the playmaking role and slotted Will Johnson into the midfield.
1′
And we have kickoff. Hold on tight.
Hola amigas. Welcome to Goal.com's live coverage of Real Salt Lake versus FC Dallas. These are both exceptional, resilient teams. Should be a dandy. I'm Zac Lee Rigg, enjoy the ride.
