    Luca Castellazzi

Stopped Di Vaio twice in a two minute span in the first half and made a good save in the 75th minute. Had no chance on Gimenez's rocket a minute later.

  • Maicon

    Maicon

He was virtually encamped in Bologna’s side of the field. Was a nuisance when he ran at defenders and is slowly rounding into top form.

  • Iván Ramiro Córdoba

    Iván Ramiro Córdoba

The Colombian veteran gave the ball away on multiple occasions in the early going but settled down and showed his toughness by getting bandaged up and continuing after clashing heads with Di Vaio.

  • Lúcio

    Lúcio

Lovely header across the face of goal to set up Milito early on. Looked a step behind the pace at times when trying to coral Di Vaio but kept a tight leash on him in the second half. Solid overall though.

  • Cristian Chivu

    Cristian Chivu

Did his job quietly and with minimal fuss. Kept a tight lid on Ramirez and was never really troubled.

  • Javier Zanetti

    Javier Zanetti

The captain made his 519th appearance for the club, equalling the record set by legendary defender Giuseppe Bergomi. Won the free kick that led to Inter's fourth goal after a typical 'Zanetti' run. Classy move by Leonardo to substitute the 37-year-old late on to allow him to receive a raucous ovation from the fans.

    Esteban Cambiasso

An accomplished display tonight. Protected the back four admirably and was the link between defence and attack. He reads the play so well that he's rarely caught out of position.

  • Thiago Motta

    Thiago Motta

The midfield stalwart was solid this evening. His excellent defence-splitting through ball set up Milito for Inter's second goal.

  • Dejan Stankovic

    Dejan Stankovic

The Serbia captain is revelling in his role behind the two strikers. Kept his nerve to slip the ball past Viviano to open the scoring and Inter never looked back.

  • Samuel Eto'o

Samuel Eto'o Top of the Match

Simply outstanding this evening. Danced past two defenders to set up Stankovic for the opener and was a real threat whenever he had the ball at his feet. Bagged a brace in the second half with two world class strikes.

  • Diego Milito

    Diego Milito

'Il Principe' should have opened the scoring in the fourth minute when he hit the post from close range but atoned for his miss with his first goal since November. Played an exquisite back-heel to set up Eto'o for Inter's third. Showing signs of returning to being the predatory goalscorer that the Nerazzurri faithful had come to know and love last season.

    Emiliano Viviano

No chance for Stankovic’s opener but flapped at Milito’s shot, which he should have done better with. No goalie in the world could have stopped Eto'o's two goals in the second session.

The former Napoli defender will have nightmares of Eto'o tonight after the Cameroon striker ran riot.

    Daniele Portanova

Had no answers for Milito and Eto'o and was caught ball-watching on more than one occasion. A very poor showing.

    Miguel Angel Britos

Needed to get his tackle in before Milito gave the hosts a two-goal lead. Gave the ball away much too often. His display was not up to par this evening.

Couldn't keep up with Zanetti and Maicon and would have been relieved to hear the final whistle.
