MLS Player Ratings: LA Galaxy 2-2 San Jose Earthquakes
Goal.com rated the players in the Game of the Week

In the past 4 games, Ricketts has allowed 6 goals into his net. Sure, you can argue that these goals were the fault of his defenders for not clearing the area, but Ricketts still allowed the goals. Not good for an All-Star.
Coach Bruce Arena may have been pleased with his performance, but fanning a clearance that lead to a San Jose goal just doesn't cut it. Mistakes like this can cost a game; it almost nearly did for the Galaxy.
His presence on the pitch was hardly noticed. He may have had some behind the scenes presence, but not enough to score a high rating.
You have to love an attacking defender, and he managed to rack up an assist.
The more he plays, the more he gets comfortable with the ball. Now we are starting to see a confident midfielder who takes shots unexpectedly from outside the box.
The rookie had one shot on target, and he is improving every game. No real remarkable impact in the game, but still strong in the midfield.
Once again, he scored, and his goals total 12 thus far. It's arguable on whether Alan Gordon dummied or botched the ball that came his way, either way, Buddle was there to take care of business and knocked one in.
Defensively, nothing too impressive, but no glaring mistakes. But LA had 13 corner kicks in the match and the big man could not get his head on a single one for a goal.
Kova has been out for a while. His stint of inactivity was visible in late tackles. He's still not game ready, but is working his way there.
Mr. Clutch was a big part in the game and notched another and scored the equalizing goal at 90 minutes.
Did he botch a pass from Todd Dunivant, or dummy it for Buddle? Difficult to say, but other than that play, Gordon was nowhere to be seen.

Only played for 30 minutes, but still managed to get two shots in.
Came in for Dunivant to help apply the pressure. No notable impact on the game, but the strategy worked.
Made six saves, but still allowed two to go in.
He was reckless at times and even got booked, but he still managed to get underneath LA's skin.
He was invisible throughout the match. The only time he appeared was during the corner kick San Jose scored on for their second goal. Opara took the first shoot that bounced off Ricketts.
McDonald was in the right place at the right time when the ball bounced off Ricketts. All he did was tap it in to give SJ the lead.
Played for 53 mins and didn't produce a single notable thing.
He played all 90 minutes, but recorded no shots or did much of anything.
Glen came out big in the first minutes and was a key figure in their early goal. He then faded into the shadows of the game, but popped out every now and then to record a shot.
Played a full 90 in the back line. Solid, but didn't help the attack.
The quiet, but key guy in the San Jose midfield.
Scored the initial goal, got yellow carded, and was involved in a possible controversial hand ball - always in the mix.
The forward was nowhere to be seen. No shots, no anything. Not a good outing for a forward.

Came in as forward for Wondolowski, but like him, did nothing.
