Substitution Ned Grabavoy Juan Sebastián Velásquez
Another Timbers corner kick, another wasted chance.
Yellow Card Pa-Modou Kah
Substitution Devon Sandoval Olmes Fernando García Flórez
Timbers faced with the reality that it's looking over for them. They're still trying, but at this point they have to know it's a lost cause.
Substitution Jack Jewsbury Ryan Johnson
Needing three goals to tie, Caleb Porter has brought in Ryan Johnson and switched to a 3-4-3 formation.
Timbers corner from Will Johnson is cleared out by RSL, which has handled corner kicks rather easily tonight.
Will Johnson has a look from about 23 yards out, but can't keep it on frame, sending it wide. A real promising chance there and he knew it.
Urruti draws a foul from Borchers, giving Portland a promising free kick about 23 yards out, to the right of the arc.
Jason Kreis with a smart sub to take out Lovel Palmer, who is sitting on a yellow card. Kenny Mansally isn't the best defender though, so the Timbers need to take advantage soon to have any chance of a comeback.
Substitution Lovel Palmer K. Mansally
Yellow Card Chris Schuler
CHANCE! Nagbe lays a pass off to Valeri about 25 yards from goal and the Argentine tries a shot from distance but can't keep it low.
We've got a shoving match after a Rickets catch of a ball in. Schuler ran into the Timbers keeper, which didn't go over well with Kah. Referee deems that Schuler was the instigator, and gives him a yellow card.
Pressure keeps mounting on the Timbers, who need three goals tonight to tie the series. RSL doing a good job of disrupting play.
Darlington Nagbe with a surging run through the middle of the park, drawing a foul.
Second half is underway. No subs for either team.
Real Salt Lake had into the locker room in complete control in this one. Timbers weren't as dangerous in the first 30 as expected, and part of that is down to RSL's solid defending.
Substitution Rodney Wallace Kalif Alhassan
Rodney Wallace is forced out with an injury. Alhassan replaces him. That's two first-half subs for the Timbers, and a big loss to the Timbers attack. Alhassan is a different kind of player, and can help, but Wallace's speed could really stretch a defense.
RSL running clock down with each stoppage.
Another corner for RSL.
Referee Mark Geiger not making many friends in Portland. Don't think he's been particularly bad, but there has been a lot of whistle-blowing so far.
Those two disallowed goals have definitely taken some steam out of the Timbers, and Jeld-Wen, where celebrations kicked off after both. RSL looking steady.
Timbers have yet another would-be goal waived off, this time for offside. Looked a good call, though Timbers Army clearly doesn't agree.
A brutal sequence for the Timbers. Ricketts forced into a save, but he spills it to Findley, who makes no mistake. Luis Gil had the initial shot. Ricketts could have done better on that one, but reacted late to the Gil shot.
Goal Robbie Findley
First leg hero Piquionne comes out and in comes Urruti, who has been nursing a hamstring injury. Interesting to see him come in ahead of Ryan Johnson. He must be healthier than people realized.
Substitution Frédéric Piquionne Maximiliano Urruti
Freddie Piqiuonne had called for a sub and looks to be coming out. Wallace is on his feet and looks like he's fine.
Rodney Wallace is down in pain and it doesn't look good. Having his knee checked out.
Portland floating Valeri on the right, trying to match him up with Lovel Palmer. The former Timbers defender has done okay so far, but will have his hands full and is carrying a card.
Valeri with TWO shots at goal, but has them both blocked. Portland with a really good opportunity there. Still 0-0
Now RSL come down and looked to have a chance, but it's ruled offside. End-to-end stuff early on.
Timbers head home a corner kick but it's waived off for a foul call on the play. Danso called for the foul
Timbers corner kick
RSL doing well to stay organized defensively as Portland looks to put pressure on early. No dangerous chances through the first 13 minutes for Portland.
Yellow Card Lovel Palmer
Portland deals with an RSL corner kick and a yellow card soon follows to RSL's Lovel Palmer. That one bears watching. Palmer will be targeted by Portland's attack tonight.
Chance RSL! Sandoval wins a free kick and Morales whips a great ball in. Sandoval heads down into the turf and it just bounces over the bar.
It is key for the Timbers to find a goal in the first 30 minutes to put some real pressure on RSL. Portland is a fast-starting team at home so RSL will have to withstand some serious early pressure.
Early chance for Portland as Kah rises and meets a corner, but it goes just wide. The center back might have done better there
We are underway!
The teams are coming on the field and we're just about underway! Portland trails 4-2 from the first leg and as a reminder, away goals are not a tiebreaker
And here's Real Salt Lake's lineup: Rimando; Palmer, Schuler, Borchers, Beltran; Beckerman, Grabavoy, Gil, Morales; Findley, Sandoval
Here's the Timbers starting XI tonight: Ricketts, Jewsbury, Danso, Kah, Harrington, Chara, Valeri, W. Johnson, Nagbe, Piquionne, Wallace
